Bonnie Mae Vance, age 78, of Hoopeston, Illinois formerly of Taylor County, died Friday in Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Monta Caulk Orsquo;Banion. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Vance, one son, William Larry Vance and one granddaughter, Tabitha LeAnne Troxel. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Clyde Tomblin of Illinois, Darlene and Ronald Troxel of Mississippi, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Orsquo;Banion of Illinois, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pearl and Mike Kuntz of Tennessee and Brenda and Randall Clark of Campbellsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Monday, November 10, 2008 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro Don Gowin, officiating.

Randall A. Knowles , age 50, of Louisville, died Monday, November 3, 2008 at Baptist East Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Knowles. He is survived by one daughter, Tamara Lynn Knowles, of Greensburg, his mother Nancy Knowles of Louisville, one brother and one sister, Steven Knowles and Diane Griffis of Georgia, three half brothers, Ronald Bagley and Jerry Bagley of Louisville, Howard Bagley of Mt. Washington. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Callahan Cemetery. Bros. Fred Russell of Campbellsville, son of the late James Thurman Russell and Maggie Pendleton Russell, was born February 23, 1922, in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. He died at 5:55 A.M., Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in Campbellsville. Age: 86 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and in Italy as a Staff Sergeant and as a turret gunner on a B-24 Bomber, where he flew 50 missions with the 38 Air Force Squadron while in the European Theatre. He earned several decorations including the Oak Leaf Cluster, E.A.M.E. ribbons, G.O. Air Medals, Good Conduct Medal, Aviation Gunners Badge, Battle Stars from Rhineland, P.O. Valley, North Apennines and Central Europe. He united in marriage to Louese Phillips July 14, 1945. He had been employed as a farmer and was owner and operator of Russell Construction. He is survived by his wife, Louese Russell of Campbellsville; one son and two daughters: Donna Bright and husband, Robert of Elkhorn, Jerry Russell and wife, Pam and Sheri Turpin and husband, Joey of Campbellsville;nine grandchildren: Joanna Turpin, McCall Turpin, Jenny Ethrington and husband, Michael, Josh Mann, Caleb Mann, Bethany Mann, Kent Bright and Jason Bright of Campbellsville, Pam Bale and husband, Tracy of Taylorsville;eight great-grandchildren: Natalia Gowin, Kelsey Phillips and husband, Patrick, Hayley Ethrington, Cassandra Bright and Kalie Bright of Campbellsville, Shelby Bale, Grace Bale and Gage Bale of Taylorsville; one great-great-grandson, Ty Phillips of Campbellsville; one brothers and three sisters: Jimmy Russell and Marine Caffee of Campbellsville, Lera Gaddie of Ft.
