Stuart Blaine Smock, age 48, of West Walnut Street, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at his residence after a short illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Smock.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Smock of Campbellsville, one son, James Smock of Denver Colorado, one daughter, Natasha Smock of Kingsburg, Colorado, two grandchildren, his mother, Bonnie Smock of Colorado, one brother, Bradley Smock of Colorado and one sister, Becky Thames of California. Also serveral aunts and cousins and host of friends survive.
The family chose cremation with memorial services at a later date.

Gladys Hagan Shirley, 92, of Eastport Road, Campbellsville, died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at Taylor Regional Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Parrish Hagan, she was also preceded in death by her husband James Shirley, her grandson, David Robinson, one sister, Ida Sexton.
She is survived by one daughter, Wanetta Muncie of Campbellsville, one grandson, Joe Robinson of Campbellsville, two great grandchildren, Joni Robinson of Campbellsville and Wesley Robinson of Alabama.
Funeral services for Gladys Hagan Shirley will be conducted at 10AM, Thursday, August 9, 2007, at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery.

Donald D. McGuire

Donald D. McGuire of Campbellsville, son of the late Cecil McGuire and Elgie Davis McGuire, was born May 11, 1924, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He died at 10:36 P.M., Saturday, August 4, 2007, in Campbellsville. Age: 83
He professed faith in Christ and was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Corps and the United States Air Force.
He was a cartographer for the United States Department of Defense for some twenty-four years and designed the maps for the first lunar landing by United States Astronauts.
He attended the University of Louisville, the University of Texas and graduated from the University of Kentucky.
He united in marriage to Laura Francis McCawley May 31, 1958, in Louisville, who survives.
He is also survived by a sister, Betty M. Rutledge and husband, George Rutledge, of Georgia; three nieces and three nephews.
He and his wife, Laura McGuire retired to Boone, North Carolina and three and a half years ago moved to Campbellsville at the suggestion of their good friends, Dick and Joan Kirzsinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard L. McGuire.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 4:00 P.M., Thursday, August 9, 2007 at
St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Campbellsville by the Rev. Karl Lusk the Rev. Louise Mann

A reception for the family will follow the service at the Church.

Joyce Dearen of Campbellsville, daughter of Mozelle McDonald Hogan and the late Willard Allen Adams, was born October 23, 1940, in Campbellsville. She died at 1:15 P.M., Sunday, August 5, 2007, in Campbellsville.
Age: 66
She professed faith in Christ, and was a member of the Millers Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was a housewife.
She united in marriage to George Henry Dearen on June 6, 1959.
Besides her husband, George Dearen, of Campbellsville, she is survived by her mother, Mozelle Hogan, of Campbellsville; one son, Daryl Dearen of Campbellsville; one daughter, Patricia Dearen Morrison, and husband, Michael,of Paris, Kentucky; two grandsons, Zane Michael Morrison and Zachary Todd Morrison, of Paris, Kentucky; two brothers, Jim Hogan and Arthur Douglas Hogan, of Campbellsville, and one sister, Tilda Lamb, of Louisville, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Mae Phillips.

Dorothy Russell of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Paul David Wheeler and Ruth Calista Parker Wheeler, was born in Santa Ana, California, October 31, 1924. She died at 6:05 A.M., Wednesday, August 1, 2007, in Campbellsville. Age: 82
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Church of Christ.
She united in marriage to Thomas L. Russell who preceded her in death on April 23, 2000.
She is survived by one daughter: Arlene Dishman and husband Mike of Campbellsville; one granddaughter, Marnie Phillips and husband Richard of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: Lauren Phillips, Hannah Phillips and John Michael Phillips of Campbellsville; one brother, Silas Wheeler of Paradise, California; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas David Russell in 1996 and three brothers: Warren Wheeler, Paul Wheeler, and James Wheeler.

Mildred Nicholas of Nicholasville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Henry Kearney and Rena Campfield Kearney, was born February 25, 1945, in Taylor County, Kentucky.
She died at 12:37 P.M. Tuesday, July 31, 2007 in Lexington.
Age: 62
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Kenneth Nicholas on December 20, 1961.
Besides her husband, Kenneth, of Nicholasville, she is survived by two daughters and two sons and spouses: Connie and Ricky Bohanon, of Goshen, Dawn and Randall Chewning of Nicholasville, Kenny and Sherry Nicholas, Timmy Nicholas, of Campbellsville, and nine grandchildren: Amanda Bohanon Patrick and husband, Evan, Stephanie Bohanon Stewart and husband, Garrin, Brittany Bohanon, Tiffany Marie Chewning, Nikki Chewning Wilson and husband, Justin, Jared Ray Nicholas, Jordan Allan Nicholas, Chelsea Roshel Nicholas and Dylan Blade Nicholas, and two great-grandchildren, Ella Marie Patrick and Emma Grace Patrick, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers: Doris Gray, Robert Kearney, Norman Kearney, Eugene Kearney, Charles Kearney and Henry Lee Kearney, in infancy.

He professed faith in Christ on June 25, 2004, and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He had been the owner of several businesses over the years: Harmon Paneling, Aquarium World, CountrySide Real Estate Auction Company and had been a partner in Brook-Stone, Inc.
He united in marriage to Betty Ann Rhodes Benningfield, on August 26, 2004.
Besides his wife, Betty Harmon, of Campbellsville, he is survived by his mother, Esther Harmon, of Campbellsville; one son, Derek Harmon, of Campbellsville; two step-children, Jennie Williams, of Lexington, and Ben Benningfield, of Campbellsville; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bert and Lorene Rhodes, of Campbellsville, and one sister-in-law, Patricia Wheat and husband, Doug, and one brother-in-law: David Rhodes and wife, Leslie; eight nieces; two aunts and uncles, Juanita Linton and husband, Chris, and Delbert King and wife, Joy, and many other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Ann Harmon Humphress, on August 25, 2000, and one step-daughter, Judy Ann Benningfield on June 14, 2000.
