ObituaryMr. Henry Dennis Smith (Smitty), was born October 11, 1935. He departed from this life Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 11:40 AM at the Rose Wood Nursing Home in Bowling Green, Ky.Mr. Smith was one of seven children born to the late Henry Will and Sally Ann Henderickson Smith. He is also preceded in death by three sisters, Rachel Ann Hatcher, Fannie Johnson and Mary Jackson.He professed his faith in Christ at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Green County, Kentucky at an early age.He was formally united in holy matrimony to Helen Mills.He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Cedric Woolridge, of Cincinnati, Ohio and one grandson. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Joe (Gearldean ) Smith, of Campbellsville, Garfield (Ida Belle) Smith of Richmond, Kentucky and Maxine Johnson, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, two uncles and one aunt, E. Coy Rainwater of Rose Street, Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Haskel Rainwater and Minnie Ethel Barnett Rainwater was born November 8, 1923 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:10 A.M., Tuesday, February 27, 2007 in Campbellsville. Age: 83 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was a barber for fifty-two years. He united in marriage to Elizabeth Allen October 16, 1948. She preceded him in death August 21, 1987. He is survived by three daughters: Colleen Bardin of Columbia, Tanya Onesti of Youngstown, Ohio and Teresa Penick of Greensburg; eight grandchildren: Sherri Blevins Hudson of Kingston Springs, Tennessee, Jeff Blevins of New Albany, Ohio, Chris Penick and Jamie Smith of Campbellsville, Brad Penick of Edmonton, Tara Onesti and Dana Onesti of Youngstown, Ohio and Michael S. Smith of Louisville; eight great-grandchildren; his step-mother, Dorothy Rainwater of Campbellsville; two brothers: Lewis Rainwater and Danny Thomas Rainwater of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one step-son, Michael V. Smith, January 28, 1990. Nelda Juanita Campbell Beard, age 79, was born on September 4, 1927, in Taylor County, Kentucky. After a brief battle with lung cancer, Juanita passed away at 7:15 P.M., Thursday, February 22, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.She was the daughter of the late Alfonso Hershel Campbell and Maude Florence Bowen Campbell, the youngest of eight children. She was a life long resident of Campbellsville and a direct descendant of Adam Campbell, one of the founders of that city. She was married to W. R. Beard on September 13, 1947, for 59 years, and he survives. She is also survived by one son and two daughters: Darrell Beard, Kaye Potter and husband Steve of Louisville, and Diana Cowden and husband Bruce of Lexington; two grandchildren: Steve Potter, Jr. and wife Heather of Kansas City, Kansas and Natalie Pierce and husband Mark of Atlanta, Georgia; one great-granddaughter, Emma Potter of Kansas City, Kansas; one brother, Paul A. Campbell, Sr. and wife Sharon of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Merlin Campbell, John Campbell, Granville Campbell, Marie Binkley, Lucille Stich and Grace Simpson.Juanita graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1945 where she was a cheerleader for four years. She attended beauty school in Louisville, and returned to Campbellsville where she worked as a beautician at the Campbellsville Beauty Shop. Richard (Rick) Mohon, age 60, of Dogwood Trace, Campbellsville, died Friday, February 23, 2007 at his residence. He was the son of the late Lucillius and Dorothy Mohon. Samuel Allen Bright, Jr, age 96 of Elkhorn, died Thursday at his residence.He was the son of the late Samuel Allen and Valeria Bright, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Bright, three brothers and one sister, Douglas Bright, Edward Bright, Marshall Bright and Elizabeth Bright. Mary Ina Gabehart, age 91, formerly of Laurel Lane, Campbellsville, died February 20, 2007 at the Medco Nursing Home.She is the daughter of the late James Chapman and Mary Dahoney Browning. She was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Browning. James Bernard Craig of Peterson Street, Campbellsville, son of the late John Melton Craig and Bessie Jane Farmer Craig was born March 10, 1932 in Marion County, Kentucky. Robert D. Hall of Davis Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Dr. Lyman Speer Hall and Myra Dorsey Hall was born March 3, 1933 in Laredo, Texas. He died at 2:40 P.M., Sunday, February 18, 2007 in Campbellsville. Age: 73 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of the Columbia Military Academy and the University of Kentucky. He taught high school for several years and later retired from the U. S. Postal Service after twenty-six years of service as a rural mail carrier.He united in marriage to Margie Arbell Gupton on April 11, 1952. She preceded him in death November 18, 2005.
