Loretta Jacobs, age 84, of Campbellsville, died Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Grandview Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Downs Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer L. Jacobs in 1967, her daughters, Shirley Gibbs and Nioma Allen. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Thompson, Stanley Thompson, Bernard Thompson, Harold Thompson, Everette Thompson, Roy Thompson and Polon Thompson, her sister, Helen Herron. She was a retired employee of Metzmeir Nursing Home and a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Homer and Fannie Jacobs, Jr. of Somerset, David and Connie Jacobs of Campbellsville, four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Charles Fox of Louisville, Theresa and Mike Milby, Brenda and Doug Holmes, Linda and Mike Baker all of Campbellsville, twenty five grandchildren and several great and great -great -grandchildren, one brother Albert Thompson of Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Muldraugh Hill Cemetery. Bro. Willie quot;Billyquot; G. Bomar size=2Willie quot;Billyquot; G. Bomar , 66, of Campbellsville, Ky, departed this life on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Taylor County Regional Hospital. He was born February 28, 1941 in Columbia, Ky, the son of Lucille (Bomar) Jones and Ruben Frazier. He married Edna Mae Bridgewater on March 6, 1961 in Columbia, Ky. Billy was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He accepted Christ at a young age. He was employed at Caterpillar (Barber Green), Sycamore, Illinois. He was a member of New Emmanuel Baptist Church, Rockford, Illinois where he became an ordained Deacon under the Guidance of Pastor Earl Neeley until moving to Campbellsville, Ky in 2002 where he became a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church and also served as chairman of the Deacon Board under Rev. Michael Caldwell. He was an active member, singing in the choir and doing what God had for him to do. He is survived by his wife, Edna Mae, two daughters, Charmaine Webster, Jeffersonville, Indiana, Charissa Bomar, Rockford, Illinois, two sons, Victor (Vinnie ) Bomar, Rockford , Illinois, and Van Bomar of Sycamore, Illinois, four grandchildren, Brandon (Diana) Webster, Rockford, Illinois, Rashaud Bomar, Campbellsville, Ky, Tyrese and Alijah Bomar both of Rockford, Illinos, one great grandson, Jadin Webster. His special stepmother, Myrtie Frazier, Columbia, Ky, four sisters, Jean Clayton, Indianapolis, Indiana,Brenda (Ben) Smith, Donna Frazier, Alla Dean Walkup, all of Columbia, Ky, three brothers, Joe Bowe of Columbia, Ky, Phillip (Lori) Bomar and Milton Bomar of Sycamore, Illinois, also several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, three size=3 brothers, size=2Ralph Bowe, Raymond Bomar and Malcolm Frazier. size=2 Visitation will be Saturday, November 24, 2007, 11:00 AM – 1PM at Pleasant Union Baptist Church, Campbellsville, Ky, funeral services will follow. Second Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 27, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM at Butalarsquo;s Funeral Home in Sycamore, Illinois. Funeral services will follow.
