Watson, age 95, Eastridge Cemetery Road, died Sunday, September 23, 2007, at Grandview Nursing Home after an illness. size=5 He was the son of the late Jim Blaine and Della Feese Watson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virgie Humphress Watson, one son, James Walter Watson, two sisters, Mary Gossett and Cordie Thompson. He is survived by one daughter, Gladys Knifley of Campbellsville, four grandchildren, Billy Ray Knifley, of Henderson, Rodney Knifley,of Campbellsville, Terry Knifley of Liberty and Marsha Wethington of Liberty , nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchildren, one brother, William Robert Watson of Lebanon. He died 14ptat 8:40 P.M., Friday, September 21, 2007 in Campbellsville. Age: 84 size=2 14pt 14ptHe professed faith in Christ and was the longest standing member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. 14ptHe was a high school athlete who excelled as a baseball catcher and basketball guard. He attended Campbellsville College, however his college education was interrupted by his service to his country in the United States Army as a part of Pattonrsquo;s 3 Infantry Division during World War II. He was a Purple Heart recipient and was awarded the Bronze Star. 14ptHe was a merchant on the Greensburg square for many years at Shuffettrsquo;s Dry Goods Store. Later he was elected the County Judge Executive and served for several terms. Vernon John Graves, 87, of Ridge Manor, Florida, formerly of Taylor County died Friday September 14, 2007 at the home of his daughter, Cynthia. He was the son of the late John and Ruby Buche Graves. He was born February 24, 1920. He was a heavy-equipment operator with Local 150. He was also The Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge #481 in Momence, Illinois during 1967. He was a member of Sherburnville Christian Church. He enjoyed aviation, golfing, hunting, fishing and playing pool. He was married October 17, 1942, in Grant Park to Margaret Keen. She preceded him in death, July 15, 1926. He was also preceded in death by five sisters, Arlene, Neeva, Hazel, Nelda, Margaret and Ruby, one brother, Orvin, one daughter, Linda and one granddaughter, Morgan.
