Bruce Wayne Bottom, age 36, of Campbellsville, passed away August 28, 2007 . He was born on September 19, 1970 to Joseph Kermit and Juanita Bottom. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Bottom, two special children, Michael Wayne Collins and Jennifer Michelle Collins, both of Campbellsville, four brothers, Billy Bottom and Randall Bottom of Campbellsville, Richard Salsberry of Somerset and Tommy Bottom of Louisville, three sisters, Pam Bottom, Wanda Watson of Campbellsville, Samone Bottom of Louisville, a special aunt, Brenda Risinger of Louisville. Numerous nieces and nephews and special friends also survive. Funeral services for Bruce Wayne Bottom, will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 31, 2007, at East Campbellsville Church of God, with burial in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Rosie Thompson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie B. Lackey and Nellie Gibbons Lackey, was born December 31, 1936, in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She died at 3:20 P.M., Monday, August 27, 2007, in Lebanon. Age: 70 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She united in marriage to Gilbert Thompson on December 18, 1954. Besides her husband, Gilbert Thompson of Campbellsville, she is survived by two daughters and three sons: Dennis Thompson and wife Lisa and Annette Thompson and husband Doug of Campbellsville, Victoria Pearl and husband Clifford of Florida, Greg Thompson and wife Cindy of Owensboro, and Jerome Thompson and Tammie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister and four brothers: Sue Orsquo;Banion, Allen Lackey and John Lackey of Campbellsville, Lewis Lackey of Montgomery, Illinois and Hubert Lackey of Aurora, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Doris Deming Bunnell of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lewellyn Deming and Ruth Decker Deming, was born in Endicott, New York, July 24, 1925. She died at 7:35 P.M., Thursday, August 23, 2007, in Campbellsville. Age: 82 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Endicott, New York. She united in marriage to Dean G. Bunnell March 2, 1946, who preceded her in death November 30, 2002. He professed faith in Christ and attended the Poplar Level Church of God in Louisville.
He united in marriage to Gwendola Noel June 27, 1953.
Besides his wife, Gwendola Noel Glover of Louisville, he is survived by two daughters and spouses: Charlotte and Nathan Flanagan of New Albany, Indiana and Sharon and Jerry Basow of Pekin, Indiana; two grandsons and two granddaughters: Jeremy Rummage and Jordan Rummage of New Albany; Amanda Munk and her husband, Mike and Nicole Basow of Pekin; three great-granddaughters: Mykala Munk of Pekin, and Alyssa Rummage and Ashley Rummage of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; one sister, Edith Coakley of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
