Shirley F. Parson of Tabernacle Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late George Cook and Flora Harmon Cook was born March 24, 1946 in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 10:25 P.M., Wednesday, October 19, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 59 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lovedale Community Church. She united in marriage to Ralph Parson April 4, 1965. Besides her husband Ralph Parson of Campbellsville, she is survived by two sons: Jeffrey Parson of Campbellsville and Michael Parson and his wife Twylia of Lebanon; one grandson, Cole Parson of Campbellsville; one step-granddaughter, MaKayla Osbourn of Lebanon; one sister, Ruby Burton of Columbia; one half-sister, Rosa McGaha of Columbus, Indiana; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. The family chose cremation. Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ollie Goodin of Elkhorn Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late James R. Roberts and Atha Lura Benningfield Roberts was born August 4, 1910 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:45 A.M., Tuesday, October 18, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 95 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Elkhorn United Methodist Church.She united in marriage to Glenn Goodin November 24, 1927. He preceded her in death September 3, 1984.She is survived by four daughters and one son and their spouses: Delma and Willard Wise, Linda and Richard Williams, Shirley and Dale Newton and Gary and Allison Goodin of Campbellsville, Sherry and Phillip Cowan of Columbia; nine grandchildren: Willard Lee Wise, Winfrey Lewis Wise, Leoda Wise Watson, Stefanie Davis-Wood and Lindsay Newton Hines of Campbellsville, Dana Williams Lawrence of Lexington, Cara Newton Stewart of Owenton, Matt Goodin of Summersville and Kimberly Williams Browning of San Antonio, Texas; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mattie Mings and husband Ray of Campbellsville; two special friends: Ada Antle and Joe Knifley of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Douglas Goodin, September 27, 1942; one brother and three sisters: Fred Roberts, Mamie Murrah, Rosa Mae Reeves and Letha Rivers. Noble E. Howard of Cambridge Way, Campbellsville, son of the late Clarence Howard and Ethel McDonald Howard was born in Corbin, Kentucky, November 6, 1924. He died at 6:00 A.M., Saturday, October 8, 2005, in Campbellsville. Age: 80He professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was a former Deacon at First Baptist Church in Russell Springs.He was a renowned farmer in Taylor County for many years, receiving many awards and citations. He retired as District Conservationist with the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service. He was involved many years with Little League Baseball, served on the Board of Directors of Taylor County Farm Bureau, and was charter member of the Taylor County Agricultural Council. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. He united in marriage to Marsha Hammonds December 22, 1950. Besides his wife, Marsha Howard of Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters and one son and spouses: Beverly and Larry Noe, Mitzi and Terry Tedder, and Marion and Carol Howard of Campbellsville; five granddaughters and three grandsons: Melissa Hayes and her husband, Andy of Elizabethtown, Ashley Noe, Kelli Shuffett and her husband, Don, Ashleigh Bailey, Hannah Howard, Payton Howard, Austin Tedder, and Clark Howard of Campbellsville; three great-grandsons: Kyler Tucker of Campbellsville and Jacob Hayes and Luke Hayes of Elizabethtown; one sister, Edith Rees of Michigan; several other relatives and many friends.
