Mabel Hicks Messick of Black Road, Campbellsville, Kentucky, formerly of Delmar, Maryland, daughter of the late Guy Steele Hicks and Bertha Johnson Hicks was born in Cambridge, Maryland, December 10, 1925. She died at 11:42 P.M., Saturday, October 18, 2003, in Campbellsville, Kentucky. Age: 77 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Luke United Methodist Church in Denton, Maryland and attended the Cane Valley Baptist Church in Adair County, Kentucky. She united in marriage to Donald Messick May 7, 1945. He preceded her in death December 25, 1998. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Margaret and Rev. Jim Collison of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Donna and Wayne Fretterd of Denton, Maryland; five grandchildren: James Collison III and Melissa Mings of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Daniel Collison of Summersville, Kentucky, Duane Charles Fretterd of Winston-Salem, NC, and Wayne Fretterd Jr. of Denton, Maryland; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mary Frances (Jimmie) Butler of Pocomoke, Maryland, Betty Richardson of Snow Hill, Maryland, and Shirley Turlington of Melfa, Virginia; several other relatives and friends. She was a retired Housewife and a member of the Lowel Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband Bill Sanders and one daughter and two brothers, Mary Elizabeth Sanders,Joe Wood Sanders and Guy Miller Sanders.She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, William Bill Sanders, Guy and ElizabethSanders of Campbellsville, two daughters, Faye Hunt of Campbellsville and Linda Bright of Salt Lake City, Utah. Charles Junior Flinchum of Knifley Road, Elkhorn, son of the late Riley Flinchum and Lula Smith Flinchum was born in Taylor County, Kentucky March 19, 1928. He died at 5:15 A.M., Friday, October 17, 2003 in Campbellsville. Age: 75 He professed faith in Christ. He was a retired farmer. Donnie R. Munford, of Wellington Park, Campbellsville, son of the late William M. Munford Sr. and Margaret Campbell Munford was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, June 12, 1937. He retired from the Kentucky Army National Guard as a Major, and was a retired insurance agent. He united in marriage to Kathy Buckler Wright June 11, 1977.
