Ruby G. Thomas, of Village Drive, Winchester, daughter of the late John R. Gray and Ollie Florence Gray was born August 24, 1924, in Clark County, Kentucky. She died at 7:50 A.M., Saturday, April 13, 2002, in Campbellsville.Age: 77.She had professed faith in Christ and was a lifelong member of the Colby Road Church of God. She was a homemaker and former employee of Belks Department Store.She united in marriage to Ray S. Thomas who preceded her in death.She is survived by three sons and one daughter and their spouses: John R. and Barbara Thomas of Lexington, Mike and Jackie Thomas of Campbellsville, Bill and Christy Thomas of Georgetown and Ann Thomas and Carlos Newcomb of Clinton, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and their spouses: Chris and Angie Thomas of Enid, Oklahoma, Julie and Aaron Shackelton of Glendale, Arkansas, Brent and Juliette Newcomb of Norman, Oklahoma, Melissa and Chris Washing, Jackie Thomas and Christi Thomas of Lexington and Alan Thomas and Katie Thomas of Georgetown; one great grandson, Andrew Shackelton of Glendale, Arkansas; one sister and two brothers: Christine Castle of Winchester, Earnest Gray of Spring City Tennessee, and Aubrey Gray of Cordova, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.FUNERAL SERVICES:10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 17th, at the Scobee Funeral Home in Winchester BURIAL:Winchester Cemetery

Jerry York, of Salleetown Road, Campbellsville, son of the late L. H. York and Elizabeth Richerson York was born July 4, 1944, in Marion County, Kentucky. He died Wednesday, April10, 2002, at his home in Campbellsville. Age:57. He is survived by one daughter, Melissa DeMelo of Austell Georgia; one son, Brian York of Campbellsville and one granddaughter, Kimberly York of Campbellsville. The body was cremated. There were no funeral services. Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville in charge of arrangements.

Bill Walton of South Columbia Avenue, Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late John B. Walton and Eleanor Goodrich Walton was born April 16, 1945, in Griffin, Georgia. Mrs. Naomi R. Carpenter, age 78, of Campbellsville, died Friday, March 29, 2002 in Salem, Indiana after an illness. She was a retired inspector of Union Underwear Company. Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her husband, Leroy Carpenter,three sons, Paul J. Dicken of Campbellsville, Jim Carpenter of Stanton, Kentucky and Cliff Carpenter of Scottsburg, Indiana, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive along with a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday April 3, 2002 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Hardin Cemetery. The family request visitation from 4 to 8 P.M. Mrs. Veneta Corbin Gabbert, age 70, of New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, died Tuesday April 2, 2002 at the Taylor County Hospital after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lorena Overstreet Corbin of Adair County. She was member of the Campbellsville Christian Church and she was a retired school teacher from the Campbellsville City School system and a member of the B. P. W club, a member of the Tebbs Bend Foundation and a member of the American Association of the University Woman where she held both local and state positions and she also was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Gabbert was preceded in deathby one brother and sister, Noel Corbin and Lela Jo Corbin Pickett. Mrs. Gabbert is survived by her daughter, Debbie K. Gabbert of Louisville, two brothers and their spouses, Dennis and Janice Corbin of Campbellsville, Tommy and Delaine Corbin of Columbia, one niece Tamara Corbin, four nephews and their spouses and children David and Kim Corbin along with Kyle and Mariah, Eric and Sherry Pickett along with Mathew, Barry Picket and Gary Corbin also survive along with a host of friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Gabbert were conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday April 4, 2002 at the Campbellsville Christian Church with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia.

Billy G. Graham of Long Branch Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Bob Graham and Frances Gupton Graham, was born March 14, 1953, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:01 P.M., Monday, March 25, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 49. He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. He was a supervisor in the door department of Cox Interior.He united in marriage to Mary Lou DeWitt Beams February 14, 1998. Besides his wife, Mary Lou Graham of Long Branch Road Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and one son, Maranda Harris of Buffalo and Kenny Graham of Muldraugh; one stepson, Rondall Beams of Campbellsville; one granddaughter, Bethany Harris of Buffalo; five brothers and three sisters: Kenneth Graham and Jen Cambron of Lebanon, Lee Graham, Sam Graham, Gail Price, Phyllis Franklin, Tommy Graham and Frankie Graham of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
