Edward Shearer of Campbellsville, son of Gwenda Morris Hitch and husband, William, was born February 24, 1967, in Highlands County, Florida. He died at 4:10 P.M., Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 49
He was an employee of Joy Mining in Lebanon.
Edward spent countless hours using his mechanical and auto body skills in the restoration of many vehicles. Other passions of his were weight-lifting, which he enjoyed daily as well as riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Price; one son, Zach Shearer and girlfriend, Summer Whittington; mother and step-father, Gwenda and William Hitch; three sisters: Gwendolyn Cox, Judy Walden and Tracy Hitch of Campbellsville; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Durham of Campbellsville; sister-in-law, Kathy Jones and husband, Joey of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Skaggs.

Larry Walters, age 73, of Milbys Lane, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at his residence after an illness.
Larry was born January 26, 1943 in Taylor County to the late James Edward and Mattie Lou Pierce Walters. Besides his brother he was preceded in death by a brother Robert Walters. He was a member of Zion Separate Baptist Church and had worked as a van driver for Taylor Regional Hospital for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Shofner Walters of Campbellsville, three daughters and their spouses, Mia and Kevin Milby, Tonya and Chris Gupton and Amanda Sprowles and her companion Ty Thompson all of Campbellsville. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive along with one brother and his wife, Eddie and Linda Walters and one sister-in-law, Carolyn Walters all of Campbellsville. One special cousin and his wife, Ray and Brenda Pierce of Pensacola, Florida also survive along with several other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Larry Walters will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rhonda Arnett and Bro. Mike Gribbins officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are Troy Walters, Trent Walters, Jason Gabbert, Josh Gabbert, Rusty Shofner and Chris Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be the Zion Separate Baptist Church Men’s Sunday School Class.
The family request visitation from 5 to 8 PM Friday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home and that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Central Kentucky and can be made at the funeral home.

Ms. Misty Ann Buley of Campbellsville, daughter of Joyce Bennett, was born in El Reno, Oklahoma on March 26, 1974. She departed this life on August 15, 2016 at the Taylor Regional Hospital as the result of a heroin overdose. She was 42 years, 4 months, and 20 days of age. Misty was a beautiful lady and known to those who knew her as a sweet, caring, and gentle person, but one who coped with a mental illness and severe chronic drug addiction.
She leaves to mourn her passing:

A sister: Angie Bland and companion Bryan Bennett of Campbellsville; a niece and nephew: Ava Bennett-Marr and Wade Clark, three uncles: Eugene Bennett and wife Sissy, and Calvin Bennett and wife Dawn, all of Campbellsville, and David Bennett and wife Lori of Savannah, Georgia and a host of other family and friends.
There will be a memorial service to honor the life of Ms. Buley on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Don Watson will be officiating. Attendee’s are respectfully asked to be sober and bring a receptive mind.
