002Harold Caulk of Campbellsville, son of the late Malcolm Caulk and Josie Wise Caulk, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, September 17, 1927. He died at 10:05 A.M., Sunday, September 6, 2015, in Campbellsville. Age: 87
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church.
He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom after some twenty-four years service and a farmer.
He united in marriage to Emma Lee O’Banion October 28, 1950. She preceded him in death November 5, 2013.
He is survived by three sons: Marshall Caulk and Darrell T. Caulk and wife, Monique of Campbellsville and James Lester Caulk and wife, Janet of Knoxville, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren: Kevin Caulk and wife, Deanna, Jason Caulk and wife, Jennifer K., Jeremy Caulk and wife, Sherri, Andrea Caulk, Jaelyn Richerson, Caleb Davis, Chelsea Davis, and Jennifer Ann Caulk of Campbellsville, Jacob Caulk and wife, Courtney of Bowling Green, Amanda Castle of Lexington, Karyn Spalding and husband, Stacy of Springfield, and Angie Travis and husband, Jason of Somerset; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: James R. Caulk of Finley and Shirley Ann Caulk of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lois Caulk in October, 1959; one sister and two brothers: Louise Melton, Bobby Lee Caulk, and Elbert Caulk.

John R. Bartman, II age 72

John R. Bartman, II, age 72, of Campbellsville, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 in Campbellsville.

A local contractor, John was the owner of Bartman and Company, Design and Construction.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Margaret Harris Bartman, two daughters, Elizabeth Bartman and Heather Bartman, all of Campbellsville, three grandchildren, Raechel Smith, Dean Roby and John Roby, a brother, Charles Bartman and his wife, Bonnie, of Louisville and a special niece and caretaker, Angela Gramer.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, September 10th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.  A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date.

The family requests expressions of sympathy to Hosparus – Green River and may be made at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Jewell “Tootie” Puyear, 69

Puyear PICMrs. Jewell “Tootie” Puyear, the daughter of the late Benny Ray and Flora “Hootsie” Whitlock Thompson, was born October 2, 1945 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Campbellsville at her residence. She was 69 years of age.
She united in marriage to Elbert “Pee Wee” Puyear, who preceded her in death on June 16, 2015. To this union were born two children: Judith “Sissy” Mattingly of Lebanon and the late Calvin Puyear, who preceded her in death in 2010.
Three grandchildren: Amanda Mattingly and Missy and Michael Mitchell all of Campbellsville and Jessie Puyear of Willisburg; five great-grandchildren: Haley, Nate, Chloe and Peyton Mitchell and Eli Puyear; his special adopted children: Debbie Rucker and husband Timmy of Shelbyville and Michelle Vaught of Campbellsville; his special adopted grandchildren: Tyler and Bailey Rucker, Brittany, AJ, Michael, Keileigh and Nasha Vaught; special friends: Hallie Harris and Gladys Mattingly and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: McKenzie Puyear; three sisters: Barbara Thompson, Bernice Thompson and Bonnie Greer.
The funeral service for Mrs. Jewell “Tootie” Puyear, will be conducted Monday, September 7, 2015 in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Bro. Donnie Blick will be officiating.
Visitation from 5-8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
