Shelby Jean McClements, 78

McClementsMrs. Shelby Jean (Liggett) McClements, of Campbellsville, passed away peacefully at her home on December 5, 2014. She was 78 years, 10 months, and 3 days of age. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Clarence and Hattie Beatrice (Richards) Liggett. She retired from Square D (Schneider Electric Co.) in Lexington in August of 1993, and spent the rest of her years being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by:
Two sons: Lee Gaines and wife Leslie of Campbellsville, and John Gaines and wife Faye of Lancaster,
Three daughters: Ruth-Anne Hurst of Lexington, Margaret Jean Arzaria and husband Junior of Elizabethtown, and Donna Jones and husband Charles of San Antonio, TX,
One step-son: David McClements of Lexington,
Six siblings: Nancy Raffitt of Nicholasville, Marie Elam and husband Asa of Mt. Sterling, Carl Liggett of Mt. Sterling, Robert Liggett of Camargo, Kelly Liggett and wife Barbara of Winchester, and Bessie Liggett of Ohio,
A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other extended family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Shelby Jean McClements conducted at 1:30 PM on December 8, 2014 at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, 6980 Danville Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356, where her beloved husband Melvin lies at rest. Dr. Wesley Paul, Hosparus of Green River Chaplain, will be officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 8, from 9:00-11:00 AM at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718.

Jean Brockman, age 90

Jean Brockman, age 90, of Campbellsville died Thursday, December 4, 2014 in Greensburg.

Emma Jean was born, November 23, 1924 in Taylor County, KY to the late Robert M. and Delta Lou Cravens Gore.  She married the late Howard “Hootie” Brockman on January 1, 1949 and was also preceded in death by a brother, Harvey R. Gore.  Jean was a member of the Spurlington United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, David Howard Brockman of Campbellsville; a daughter, Paula June Judd and her husband Jerry Lane, of Summersville; two sisters, Magdaline Dudgeon and Rebecca “Becky” Blankenship and her husband, Tom, of Columbia; one grandson, Timothy Alan ‘Tim” Brockman,  one step-grandson, Trenity Lane Judd and his wife, Brittany and a great-grandson, Kaizer Michael Brockman; a brother, H.C. “Boss”  Gore and his wife, Maye of Campbellsville and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7th at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, in Campbellsville with Bro. Roger Scott officiating.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Brockman, Trent Judd, Lawrence Brockman Jr. , Donald Brockman, Henry “Bur” Harrison and Hal Wayne Gore.

The family request visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6th at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Dorothy Harden Bryant

Dorothy Harden Bryant of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Frank Richard Goode and Ruth Bernard Goode, was born June 21, 1941, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She died at 9:02 P.M., Thursday, December 4, 2014, peacefully, after a brief illness. Age 73

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church.

She was a retired bookkeeping employee.

She united in marriage to William “Billy” Harden December 6, 1958. He preceded her in death October 5, 2011.

She united in marriage to David T. “Blue” Bryant May 6, 2013.

Besides her husband, David T. “Blue” Bryant, she is survived by two sons and one daughter: Ronnie Harden and wife, Debbie of Campbellsville, Tommy Harden and wife, Sherry of Lancaster and Sandra Kay Miller and husband, Cole of White Mills; five grandchildren: Wyatt Miller, Dillon Miller, Jacob Lee, Kyle Lee and Shelby Harden; several great-grandchildren; five special nieces: Amy Alexander, DeAnna Young, Mary Adams, Samantha Morton, and Megan Goode and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Morton.
