He united in marriage to Mabel Marie Payton January 3, 1959. She preceded him in death February 25, 2002.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Charlie then became a salesman in Campbellsville for the next forty five years.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Larry Fox of Marysville, Indiana, Russell Fox and wife, Beverly of New Albany, Indiana and Suzy Ricketts and husband, Mark of Charlestown, Indiana; three step-children: Marie Ratcliff of Campbellsville, Louise Black of Frankfort and Willard Claywell of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren: Darin Fox of New Albany, Indiana and Debbie Fox Kaiser and husband, Tone of Marysville, Indiana; one great-grandson: Jerry Clayton Fox of Marysville, Indiana and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Jane Fox in 1971; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Fox; three sistesr: Helen Biggs, Ida Louise Richardson and Marie Conrad; his former wife, Nina Mae Hill Fox and special friend, Kyoko “Kay” Troutman.
