Sharon Dobson

Sharon Dobson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William (Jiggs) Hinton and Geneva Wright Hinton, was born June 26, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky.  She died at 8:35 P.M., Tuesday, February 19, 2013, in Elizabethtown.     Age: 66

She was a former coordinator for Toys for Kids and a former member of FOP Ladies Auxiliary and the Campbellsville-Taylor County Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary.

She united in marriage to Carl Dobson on April 11, 1976.

Besides her husband, Carl Dobson, she is survived by two daughters and five step children: Melissa Neal and Michelle Coyle of Louisville, Janet Poling and fiancé, Dennis Hilbert of Eminence, Doug Dobson and wife, Brenda of Lebanon, Barry Dobson and wife, Michelle of Campbellsville, Ronnie Dobson and wife, Becky of Hustonville and Sharon Tuttle of Campbellsville; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Robert Hinton and wife, Barbara of Sellersburg, Indiana, Claude Edward Mudd Jr. and wife, Kay and Alma Reeb and husband, Gene of Irvington, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, James B. (Butch) Hinton.

Marjorie Cave

Marjorie Cave of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William George Long and Edith Murriel Coombe Long, was born November 13, 1923, in Gloucester, England.  She died at 1:30 A.M., Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in Campbellsville.    Age: 89

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom and former employee of Scott’s Ladies Apparel.

She united in marriage to Edgar A. Cave December 14, 1942.  He preceded her in death January 25, 1985.

She is survived by two daughters and one son:  Julia Richerson and special person, Larry Richerson of Shepherdsville, Sandra Rainwater and Jimmy Cave and wife, Diane of Campbellsville; six grandchildren:  Jamie Cave, Kenneth Lee Agee, Sheree Sweeney and Sheila Caldwell and husband, Gordon of Campbellsville, Ricky Richerson and wife, Carolyn of Shepherdsville and Gordon Rainwater and wife, Amber of Georgetown; nine great-grandchildren:  Jordan Richerson, Shawn Sweeney, Brook Sweeney, Nicholas Glover, Kenneth Agee, Christopher Agee, Tyler Rainwater, Bridgette Benningfield and Josh Wise; one great-great-grandson, Braxton Agee; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Joelle Cave in infancy and four brothers:  John Long, Frank Long, Eric Long and Kenneth Long.

Patricia Ann O’Rourke, age 76, died Saturday, February 16th, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana.
She is survived by three sons and daughter-in-laws; Charles and Mary O’Rourke III of Charlestown, Ind., Michael and Mary O’Rourke of Charlestown, Ind., and Brian and Patricia O’Rourke of Smithfield, Kentucky, one daughter Debra Wolff of Charlestown, Ind., Six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, one sister Rev. Carol Davis of Lexington, KY.
Funeral services for Ms Patricia O’Rourke will be conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.
