Bernice “Bea” G. Phillips

Bernice “Bea” G. Phillips of Clarksville, Indiana formerly of Lebanon and Campbellsville, daughter of the late Henry Griffin and Kizzie Campbell Griffin, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, September 15, 1922.   She died at 7:28 A.M., Tuesday, December 18, 2012, in Clarksville, Indiana.      Age:   90

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Lebanon.

She was a retired Registered Nurse, family planning executive and educator, having worked at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Lebanon, Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville and Lincoln Trail District Health Department in Elizabethtown.

She united in marriage to Lester A. Phillips July 5, 1947.  He preceded her in death December 20, 1989.

She is survived by three daughters and one son:  Terri Crawford and husband, Mac of Lexington, Leslie Thomas and husband, Larry of Greenville, Indiana, Barbie Fiske-Phillips and husband, Loring of Redlands, California and Hank Phillips and wife, Leslie of Lexington; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters:  Doris Harding Griffin in infancy and Barbara Griffin.

Jeff Sharp of Campbellsville, son of Sharon Bright Sharp and the late Ronnie Sharp, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, April 6, 1985.   He died at 3:47 A.M., Sunday, December 16, 2012, in Campbellsville.     Age:   27

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

Besides his mother, Sharon Sharp, he is survived by one sister, Shannon Sharp, paternal grandmother, Loretta Sharp, nephew, Dawson Thomas Creason and special friend, Kaitlyn Cisco, all of Campbellsville; many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bill Sharp and his maternal grandparents, Bennie and Marie Bright.

Montie L. Blair, age 90, died Monday, December 17, 2012 at his residence in Taylor County.
He is survived by his wife Bethel Blair, four sons and daughter-in-laws Ted and Jewell Blair of Elizabethtown, Darrell and Wilma Blair, Donnie and Marcella Blair and Rodger and Donna Blair all of Campbellsville, four daughters and son-in-laws Carolyn and Walter Kinser, Shirleen and Gary Osborne, Dixie and Haywood Riner, Lou Ann and Jack Beard, all of Campbellsville, eighteen Grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews along with a host of family and friends.
Funeral services for Montie Blair will be conducted at 10 AM Wednesday, December 19th at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Family request visitation Tuesday, December 18th from 5 to 8 PM in the Chapel of Lyon-Dewitt Funeral Home.
