James Floyd Squires of Campbellsville, son of the late Lewis Squires and Tamera Murrell Finn Squires was born in Green County, Kentucky, February 23, 1924. He died at 8:43 P.M., Saturday, October 13, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 88
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army in the 289th Field Artillery Battalion.
He served many years on the Campbellsville City Council, Campbellsville Zoning Commission, and was a retired residential builder and local businessman.
He united in marriage to Mitchelyn Parson August 8, 1942.
Besides his wife, Mitchelyn Parson Squires, he is survived by two daughters: Dianne Squires and husband, Ross Bruner of Scottsdale, Arizona and Tammy Squires of Raleigh, North Carolina; three grandsons: Morgan Bruner of Seattle, Washington, Zak Dearinger, a student at the University of South Carolina, and Max Dearinger, a student at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia; three sisters and one brother: Beatrice Landis, Lucille Bagby, and Elois Gumm and husband, Billy of Greensburg and Elwood Squires and wife, Jewell of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers: Gladys Marie Squires, Russell Squires, Raymon Squires, and Nelson Squires.

Dixie Shelton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Colby Judd and Margie Wright Judd was born in Green County, Kentucky, February 14, 1939. She died at 10:25 A.M., Saturday, October 13, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 73 She was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by ex-husband, Howard Poling of Campbellsville; one son, Larry Shelton and wife, Tammy of Summersville; two granddaughters: Carla Davis of Elizabethtown and Beth Bland and husband, Willie of Campbellsville; four great-grandchildren: Timothy Davis, Kenneth Christopher Davis, Cassie Squires, and Emily Squires; two great-great-grandchildren: Mason Davis and Tessa Davis; several other relatives and friends.

Essie Brewer of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Elzie DeSpain and Golda Allen DeSpain, was born June 27, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:36 P.M., Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 76
She was a retired medical assistant.
She united in marriage to Raymond Brewer September 7, 1951. He preceded her in death September 25, 1994.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Gary Brewer and wife, Angela and Angie Newton and husband, David Alan of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Sarah Newton, Emily Thompson and husband, Matt, and Landon Newton of Campbellsville;
one great-grandson, Foster Thompson; two sisters: Nell Hash and husband, Harlan and Judy Bell of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Leroy DeSpain and Norman DeSpain.
