William Fredrick Hoy

William Fredrick Hoy of Campbellsville, son of the late William Hoy and Ruby O’Banion Hoy was born in Utica, Ohio, March 9, 1936. He died at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 4, 2013 in Campbellsville.    Age:   76

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.

He served his country honorably in the United States Navy for some twenty-one years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He retired from Ingersoll-Rand Company after seventeen years and then helped Roberts Landscaping eight years.

He united in marriage to Marcella White June 20, 1956.

Besides his wife, Marcella Hoy of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and two sons: Sheila Coomes and husband, Ron of Daphne, Alabama, Joe Hoy and wife, Wanda Sue of Berea, Kentucky, and Gary Hoy and wife, Shannon of Sharpsburg, Georgia; seven grandchildren: William Thomas Hoy, Jennifer Leigh-anne Hoy, Joseph Michael Hoy, Phillip Hunter Coomes, Morgan Ashley Coomes, Olivia Caitlin Hoy, and Rachel Alexandria Hoy; two sisters: Ila Berry and husband, John of Sunbury, Ohio and Annie Hoy of Newark, Ohio; several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother in infancy.

          Mr. David Helm, age 56, of Campbellsville died Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville after a sudden illness.

          David Helm was the son of the late Bessie Jane Sallee and John Leonard Helm.  He was employed at Fruit of the Loom in Jamestown, David was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather and a friend to many.

          He is survived by his wife Joy Atwood Helm, three sons Waylon Atwood, Kevin and his wife Katie Helm, Cody Helm and his fiance’ Hope Garrett, and one daughter, Leeann Helm and her fiance’ Ronnie Goode all of Knifley, seven grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, Ray and Raymond Helm both of Lebanon and Ada Mae Gribbins of Campbellsville along with a host of family and friends.

          Funeral services for Mr. David Helm were conducted at 11 AM Tuesday at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Merrimac Cemetery.

          Haskel Lee Farmer Sr. (Hack), age 77, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Taylor County.

          Hack was the son of the late Bessie Walker and Berry Thomas Farmer of Adair County, he was also preceded in death by one grandchild Michael Lee Farmer.

          He was employed at Tastee Bread Company. Hack was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many.

          He is survived by his wife Betty Bailey Farmer of Campbellsville, KY, three sons and daughter-in-laws; Haskel and Patrica Farmer Jr., Michael and Debbie Farmer all of Shepherdsville, KY and Greg Farmer of Campbellsville, Ky, six grandchildren; Hailey Renee Farmer, Tami Jean Farmer, Tina Marie Miller, Malinda Cissell, Melissa Hudson and Clinton Farmer, three great grandchildren Julie and Jake Hudson ,and Kailey Farmer, one brother Louis Farmer of Shelbyville, along with a host of family and friends.

          Funeral services for Mr. Haskel Farmer Sr. were conducted Wednesday 10 A.M., March 6, 2013 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.
