One vehicle crash claims life of Metcalfe County teen

A Metcalfe County teenager was killed tuesday afternoon, August 28th, in a one vehicle crash in Metcalfe county. According to the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office the accident happened when a pickup truck operated by 17 year old Justin Moss of Edmonton ran off the road and overturned. He was not injured. A passenger in the truck, 17 year old Chelsea Anders of Edmonton, was thrown out of the vehicle and died later after being flown to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The accident happened on highway 80 in Metcalfe County near the Adair County line.

Mary Margaret Stubbs Gumm, age 81, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Taylor County Regional Hospital.
She is survived by one sister Betty Stubbs Anderson of Campbellsville, one foster daughter Dorothy Lowe of Columbia, one foster son Eddie Lowe of Pennsylvania, special nephew, Jimmy and Lisa Anderson and two great nieces Bethany and Autumn Anderson, all of Columbia, two nephews Kenny and Brenda Anderson, Woody and Lisa Anderson and one niece Mary Whitlow all of Campbellsville, along with a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Adair County.
Family request visitation 5-8 PM, Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.

Bobby Keltner

Bobby Keltner of Campbellsville, son of the late Clenon Moore Keltner and Mable Clark Keltner, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 12, 1942.  He died at 6:54 P.M., Tuesday, August 28, 2012, in Campbellsville.

Age:    69

He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

He was a retired employee of UPS in Campbellsville with thirty-five years of service and a farmer.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He united in marriage to Ann Parker October 19, 1962.

Besides his wife, Ann Keltner of Campbellsville, he is survived by one niece and one nephew:  Jill Blakeman and husband, David and Terry Keltner and wife, Janee of Campbellsville; three great-nieces and two great-nephews:  Paige Prow Hord and husband, Shaun, Mendi Prow and Mattison Blakeman of Campbellsville, Shan Keltner and wife, Tracy of Georgetown and Jarrod Keltner of Lexington; two great-great-nephews:  Lane Hord and Thomas Hord; and several other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph M. Keltner September 19, 1988.
