Leon Rodgers of Campbellsville, son of the late Bonnie Rodgers and Grace Sherrell Rodgers, was born in Green County, Kentucky May 21, 1925. He died at 10:12 P.M., Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 86 He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He was a retired employee of Taylor County RECC. He united in marriage to Frances Kearnes August 26, 1961.
Besides his wife, Frances Rodgers, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Gary Glasscock of Campbellsville; two grandsons, Ian Glasscock and Shane Glasscock of Campbellsville; one brother, Houston Rodgers of Carrollton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Rodgers December 19, 1987 and a brother, Leo Rodgers.

Timmy Bottoms of Elkhorn, son of the late Edward D. Bottoms and Christine Monday Bottoms was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, February 18, 1959. He died at 9:03 A.M., Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Somerset. Age: 53
He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Kecia Bottoms of Elkhorn; two grandsons: Zack Bottoms and Lane Bottoms of Elkhorn; two sisters: Marcella Cox and Betty Jean Bottoms of Campbellsville; special friend, Barbara Bryant of Elkhorn; several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother: Carolyn Dicken and Jimmy Bottoms.

Daniel William “Billy” Mitchell of Campbellsville, son of the late L. M. Mitchell, Sr. and Mattye Gowdy Hatcher Mitchell, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 30, 1925. He died at 12:22 A.M., Friday, April 27, 2012, in Lexington, at the age of 86.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church, where he was a former treasurer and an active member of The Session.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Corps.
He was owner of Mitchell’s Men’s Wear.
He was community minded, having served on numerous boards and civic clubs, including Citizens Bank and Trust Company Board of Directors, founding board member and former chairman of Taylor Regional Hospital Board of Directors, Campbellsville Kiwanis Club and Taylor County Fair Board.
He was also a member of Pitman Masonic Lodge No. 124 F A & M.
Billy also enjoyed playing saxophone while in high school with the Campbellsville College band.
He united in marriage to Jeanne Wheat on November 16, 1946.
Besides his wife, Jeanne Wheat Mitchell, he is survived by one son and three daughters:
Rev. Dr. Dan Mitchell and wife, Bernadette, of Panama City, Florida, Jennifer Mitchell of New York City, Cynthia Mitchell and husband, Mark Pasquariello, of Lexington and Laura T. Wilds and husband, Lloyd, of Campbellsville.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Anne DeSpain, Lynn Mitchell Lind, Lee Mitchell, Jonathan Warren, Sara Wilds Johnson, Shane Wilds and Shelby Wilds; as well as seven great-grandchildren: Raven Evans, Rowen Evans, Maylee Wilds, Zane Johnson, Addison Johnson, Hampton Lind and Aiden Mitchell Loane; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother: Lucylle Mitchell Meyer, Lynwood M. Mitchell, Jr. and Margaret Mitchell Skaggs.
