James Wesley Whitehead

Wesley Whitehead of McNeary Street, Campbellsville, son of the late Neal Whitehead and Elizabeth Wright Whitehead was born January 26, 1920, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:38 P.M., Monday, September 15, 2003, in Campbellsville. Age: 83 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired painter and drywall hanger. He is survived by four daughters and two sons: Doris Jean Hoosier, Suzanne Dickens and Carol Porter of Campbellsville, James Obie Whitehead of Lebanon, Darlene Ferrell of Liberty and Bobby Neal Whitehead of Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; five sisters: Aileen Smith, Leola Moss, Doris Hoosier, and Mildred Moore of Campbellsville and Clemmie Atwell of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Juanita Whitehead; one grandson, Ronnie Lynn Porter and one sister, Elsie Weddle. Harold Ogelvie of Hodgenville Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Ralph Ogelvie and Hazel Mullins Ogelvie, was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, March 20, 1938. He died at 2:25 A.M., Sunday, September 14, 2003, in Campbellsville. Age: 65He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of AEP Electric Company after some thirty-four years service. He united in marriage to Linda L. Daniels August 6, 1981. Besides his wife, Linda L. Ogelvie of Hodgenville Road, Campbellsville, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Jeremy and Lisa Ogelvie of Campbellsville; granddaughter and grandson: McKayla Nichole Ogelvie and Timothy Harold Ogelvie of Campbellsville; one sister and one brother: Helen Blair and her husband, Sam of Lexington and Ralph Ogelvie and his wife, Evelyn of Bowling Green; father and mother-in-law: Conley and Loretta Daniels of Hazard; special friends: Bill and Joyce Barnes of Lexington and Nancy and Richard England of Campbellsville; many other relatives and friends. Godsey, age 88 of Wickliff Avenue, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at the Medco Nursing Home after an illness.She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Larry Godsey of Columbia, Doug Godsey and Laverne Russell of Campbellsville, Patricia Thompson of Tennessee, sixgrandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Two brothersand one sister, Charlie Goode of Louisville, John D. Goode and Mary Evelyn Chelf both of Campbellsville also survive along with other relatives and a host of friends.Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha M. Godsey will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 19, 2003 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Chapel with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.The family request visitation after 5:00 P.M.
