Joan Harrison, daughter of the late David Wood Wintsch and Girtha Poore Wintsch, was born in Hart County, Kentucky, September 5, 1930. She died at 9:20 A.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She was a retired bookkeeper.
She united in marriage to Charles Lee “Cotton” Harrison in May, 1950. He preceded her in death November 12, 1960.
She united in marriage to Howard Spratt March 17, 1987. He preceded her in death March 29, 2010.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters: David Harrison and wife, Patty of Bowling Green, Bill Spratt and wife, Sherry of Dayton, Ohio, Johnson Spratt of Panama, Julie Jessie and husband, Kimble of Campbellsville and Jackie Payne and husband, Jim of Rosamond, California; ten grandchildren: Natalie Cline of Gallatin, Tennessee, Scott Jessie of Campbellsville, Adam Jessie of Knoxville, Tennessee, Rev. Blake Jessie of Greensburg, Julie Payne and Jason Payne of California, Nora Cox of Bowling Green, Christopher Spratt of Dayton, Ohio, Tom Spratt and Robert Howard Spratt of Panama; nine great-grandchildren: Harrison Cline, Hunter Jessie, Brayden Jessie, Taylor Jessie, Carson Jessie, Jase Jessie, Parker Jessie, River Jessie and Valerie Spratt; one sister, Carolyn Bays of Abdington, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Wintsch.

In continuing an effort to improve the community’s emergency medical services, the mayor has promoted Gary Magers to Director of the Campbellsville-Taylor County Emergency Medical Services. Gary is a graduate of Taylor County High School and also attended Western Kentucky University and Valencia Community College in Florida. He is married to Cheryl Magers of Campbellsville and has three children and four grandchildren. He has been in Emergency Medical Services for over twenty-three years, six years as an Emergency Medical Technician and seventeen years as a Paramedic.He recently retired from the United States Air Force after over twenty years of service. He served eighteen months in Vietnam, two deployments in Iraq and two deployments in Afghanistan. “We look forward to continuing the improvement of this service, with the emphasis on patient care.”
Allen Bottoms has agreed to stay on as a Major for the Campbellsville-Taylor County Emergency Medical Services. “I wish to thank Allen for his dedication and loyalty as he continues his service to the community in a new assignment.”

Ethel Wood of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Wesley “Went” Dile and Alta Zena Rogers Dile, was born in Green County, Kentucky, July 28, 1929. She died at 4:25 P.M., Sunday, February 19, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 82
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Elkhorn Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to David Wood January 22, 1949. He preceded her in death September 14, 1996.
She is survived by four daughters and six sons: Helen Rainwater, Melva Wood, Sue Hunt, Norma Wright, Les Wood, Raymond Wood, George Wood, Joe Wood, Guy Wood, and Bobby Wood all of Campbellsville; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters: Shreve Dile, Finis Dile, J.W. Dile, Moss Dile, Sylvia Oliver, Lovie Blankenship, Geraldine Nye, and Ollie Joy.
