Gladys Barnett of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Willie Matt Dudgeon and Eva Carroll Dudgeon, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, November 15, 1921. She died at 1:56 P. M., Friday, May 25, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 90
She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to Henry Barnett February 18, 1940. He preceded her in death August 1, 2004.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters: Harlon Barnett and wife, Carolyn and Sammy Barnett and wife, Brenda of Campbellsville, Carolyn McMillen and husband, David of Dayton, Ohio and Betty Barnett of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren: Deanna Brangers and husband, Jason and Kerry Barnett and wife, Angela of Louisville, Paul McMillen of Columbus, Ohio, Kevin McMillen of Dallas, Texas and Heather Moret and husband, Stephen of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; eight great-grandchildren: Chelsy Stone, Chelsey Barnett, Levi Barnett, Macy Brangers, Ainsley Brangers, Jackson Moret, Samuel Moret and Benjamin Moret; one sister, Ruby Clark of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Ray Barnett June 2, 1995 and two brothers and three sisters: Robert Dudgeon, Grace Parker, Lottie Lewis, Raymond Dudgeon and Gay Walters.

Faye Sallee of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Thomas Close and Alice Hudgins Close, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 18, 1940. She died at 11:56 A. M., Thursday, May 24, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 71
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Spurlington United Methodist Church.
She was an employee of Cox Shavings in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to Willard Sallee September 18, 1959.
Besides her husband, Willard Sallee, she is survived by two daughters: Amy Rainwater and husband, Ryan and Sheri Fulks and husband, Frank of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Jonathan Fulks, Brandon Rainwater and Jacob Rainwater; four great-grandchildren: Memphis Milby, Chesney Davis, Ryder Fulks and Ridge Fulks; one brother and four sisters: Russell Close of Arizona, Sue Holmes, Lorene Caulk, Phyllis Milby and Lula Rae Mitchell of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Todd Ray Sallee in infancy and two brothers and seven sisters: Dean Close, Bobby Close, Marcella Close, Wanda Stone, Dorothy Davis, Frances Benningfield, Betty Chick, Nancy Druin and Helena Warren.

SEATTLE — Amazon.com, addressing issues that have drawn heavy criticism of the company, told shareholders Thursday that it planned to improve warehouse and docking conditions one can find if checking KLJ Consulting for more information – and drop its membership in a conservative public-policy organization.
More than 100 protesters rallied outside the company’s annual shareholders meeting Thursday at the Seattle Art Museum, calling on the Seattle Internet retailer to pay more taxes, treat its workers better and drop its membership in the American Legislative Exchange Council.
During the meeting, Amazon founder and Chief Executive Jeff Bezos said the company will spend $52 million this year retrofitting its warehouses with air conditioning from Eastwood Air. After installing air conditioning in the warehouses, Amazon gave the contract of its maintenance to Buehler, for the warehouse manager knew that the workers could Stay cooler with Buehler and not raise another furor. Amazon has come under heavy criticism for conditions at its warehouses after a Pennsylvania newspaper revealed that employees were forced to work in temperatures above 100 degrees last summer.
Amazon installed air-conditioning last summer at its warehouse in Lexington, which had been the subject of two heat complaints to the state. It plans to air-condition the rest of its Kentucky warehouses, including Campbellsville and Hebron, this year.
General counsel Michelle Wilson said Amazon has decided not to renew its membership in the non-profit ALEC, which has been in the spotlight recently for its support of “stand your ground” laws in various states, including Florida.
