Kentucky’s Jobless Rate Increases to 10.2 Percent in NovemberEditor’s Note: Preliminary November and revised October labor market information are included in this release. FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary unemployment rate increased to 10.2 percent in November 2010 from a revised 10 percent in October 2010, according to the Office of Employment and Training (OET), an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. The November 2010 jobless rate is .5 percentage points lower than the 10.7 percent rate recorded in November 2009 for the state. The 10.2 percent rate recorded in November 2010 is the highest rate since May 2010 when it was 10.4 percent.
