Julia Knifley of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ray Knifley and Edna Campbell Knifley, was born August 26, 1940 in Taylor County. She died at 8:50 P.M., Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Louisville. Age: 83
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church.
Julia was an employee of Tenco Industries for over forty years. She was a friendly person who enjoyed being around people.
She is survived by one brother, W. R. Knifley of Glasgow; one niece and one nephew: Ella Roberts and husband, Elvis of Glasgow and Greg Knifley and wife, Rachel of New Castle, Indiana; her caregiver, Jennie Bishop of Campbellsville; several great-nieces and great-nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Linda Lou Johnson of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late James Garland McDonald and Lucille Graham McDonald, was born October 23, 1939 in Taylor County. She died at 4:00 A.M., Monday, January 8, 2024 in Campbellsville. Age: 84
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church.
Linda was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to Louis Johnson July 5, 1968 and he preceded her in death December 21, 2002.
She is survived by one daughter, Cathy Bowen and husband, John of Ft. Myers, Florida; three grandchildren: Joshua Farmer, Melissa Brundage and husband, Kris and Eric Bowen and wife, Jenn of Bardstown; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry McDonald and wife, Linda of Concord, North Carolina; one niece, Lee Ann Benningfield and husband, Steve; one great-niece, Emily Smith; special friends: Clint Barnett and Lisa and Jimmy Curry; caregiver, Lisa Caulk; several other nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Linda was also preceded in death by a brother, Leonard McDonald.

Steve McAllister, of Campbellsville, the son of the late William Robert and Annie (Richards) McAllister, was born January 17, 1941 in Columbia and departed this life on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 in Louisville at the Jewish Hospital. He was 82 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church where he served at a deacon for many years and was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army.
Steve owned and operated Wishy Washy laundromat on Main Street in Campbellsville and was a washer and dryer repairman.
He enjoyed playing and singing gospel music, playing golf, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his grand and great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Steven Wayne McAllister; a grandson: J.T. Holmes; eight brothers and sisters: Garnett, Ed, Charles, Robert McAllister, Lorene Dohoney, Elaine Hagood, Evelyn Ann ‘Sissy” Nickens and one infant.
Survivors include his wife: Anna (Good) McAllister; a daughter: Angie Holmes; three grandchildren: Trista Wood and husband Cory, Aaron Schwoebel and wife Sarah, Mariah Holmes; four great-grandchildren: Kyndall Wood, Rhilynn Wood, Kamryn Schwoebel and Brantlee Wood and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Steve McAllister will be Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery.
Bro. John Nguyen and Bro. Jim Durham will be officiating.
Visitation after 12 Noon on Sunday until time for the service.
