He died at 6:50 P.M., Friday, August 13, 2010, in Louisville. Age: 76 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church where he served as a Deacon. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was retired from Parker-Kalon after some thirty-five years service and a farmer. He united in marriage to Carrie Richeson May 25, 1957. Besides his wife, Carrie Richeson Matherly, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Michael Matherly and wife, Heather of Campbellsville and Kim Johnson and husband, Jimmy of Alvaton, Kentucky; seven grandchildren: Kellye McIntyre and Megan Green and husband, Mark of Bowling Green, Danae Rooker, Philip H. Matherly, and Sarah Matherly of Campbellsville, and Jerrit Dahlquist and Megan Parker of Holland, Michigan; four great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Rooker of Campbellsville, Taylor Green of Bowling Green, and Sophia Bolger and Lily Bolger of Holland, Michigan; four sisters: Doyle Webster, Ann Dile and husband, Frank, Virginia Shields, and Sharon McKee of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
