Edna Read daughter of the late Joseph Bentley Read and Nora Crews Read, was born on April 4, 1946 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:50 A.M., Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in Campbellsville.

Edna professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith.

She was a self employed in home caregiver.

She is survived by one brother and one sister: John Read and wife, Sharon and Evalene Read of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Larry Read, Delores Jeffries, Josie Osborne, Linda Smith, Robert Read, Rosaline Read, Catherine Read, Norma Jean Read, Harry Read and Benny Read and three half-brothers: Joe Read, Glenn Read and Zeke Sapp.

Lanny Morgeson

Lanny Morgeson, son of the late Goebel Randall Morgeson and Virginia Mae Knopp Morgeson, was born on August 15, 1952 in Marion County, Kentucky.  He died at 5:48 A.M., Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in Campbellsville.   Age:  72

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Lanny was a retired employee of Hendrickson Truck Axle in Lebanon and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

He united in marriage to Juanita Jo Morgeson and later united in marriage to Shelia Marcum April 22, 2000.

Lanny was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He loved camping, fishing, golfing and spending time with family and friends.

Besides his wife, Shelia Morgeson of Campbellsville, Lanny is survived by two sons and one daughter:  Joe Morgeson and wife, Tammy of Berea, Rodney Morgeson and wife, Misty of Greensburg and Daphni Price and husband, Jeremy of Georgetown; six grandchildren:  Chelsey Morgeson and wife, Courtney of Chicago, Illinois, Cameron Morgeson, and Madison Morgeson and significant other, Dakota Milby of Summersville, Zachary Morgeson of Berea, and Olivia Price and Corbin Price of Georgetown; three great-grandchildren:  Indi Rose Milby, Bodi Cardale Milby and Cleo Morgeson; one brother, Jimmy Morgeson and wife, Carolyn of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Cheryl Dawn Spratt of Campbellsville, daughter of Becky Thompson Spratt and the late Bill Spratt, was born December 4, 1964 in Taylor County.  She died at 3:01 P.M., Sunday, September 1, 2024 in Columbia.   Age:  59

She professed faith in Christ at an early age.

She was a retired employee of the Social Security Administration after thirty-four years of service.

Dawn loved taking bus trips with her mom.

She is survived by her mother, Becky Spratt of Campbellsville; special aunts and uncles:  Jean and Jodie Burkhead, Patricia and Donnie Gray, Terry and Betty Thompson, Hilda Bell and Mike Maupin and Pam Thompson; several special cousins and many friends.

Dawn was also preceded in death by her grandparents:  Henry and Fannie Spratt and Jimmy and Bessie Thompson and two uncles and one aunt:  Philip Thompson, Gilbert Thompson and Mary Sue Jarboe and husband, David.
