Helen McDermott Noel of Columbia, formerly of Acton, daughter of the late Robert Elza McDermott and Nell Hogan McDermott was born November 1, 1925 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 6:23 P.M., Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in Elizabethtown.  Age:  84

Shelby D. Druien, Sr, 77, of Campbellsville died Monday, May 31, 2010 at Grandview Nursing Home after an illness.

He was the son of the late Lee Shipp and Ruby Druien Shipp and was adopted and raised by his maternal grandmother, Ida E. Druien.  He was married to Ora Mae Cox Druien on August 23, 19532 and she preceded him in death of October 24, 2006.  He was a farmer in Taylor County and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
