With the summer heat predicted to peak this week, issues like overexertion, heat stroke and dehydration have become important public health concerns.
“Summer weather is inviting and encourages many of us to spend more time outdoors, but the rising temperatures also present serious health concerns,” said Department for Public Health Commissioner William Hacker, M.D. “Everyone should follow simple precautions that keep us safe from heat-related illness and injury.”

FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 24, 2010)— The Kentucky Historical Society (KHS) and the Kentucky Genealogical Society (KGS) will host a free family-history workshop—“Overcoming Research Roadblocks” and “Siblings for Sarah” from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 at the Thomas D. Officers from the Campbellsville Police Department along with Campbellsville Fire Department, and Campbellsville Taylor County Rescue Squad responded to an injury accident at the intersection of Meader St. and Coakley Ave. 33 year old Audra Graham of Campbellsville was operating 2000 Mitizubishi east bound on Coakley Ave. when she crossed into the path of 21 year old Tyler Lambert. Lambert was operating a 2000 Honda north bound on Meader St. A passenger in the Graham vehicle, Ashley Walker, 13 of Campbellsville was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital.
