Lillie Mae Dicken, 81

Lillie Mae Dicken, age 81, of Roland Street, Campbellsville, died Friday, January 1, 2010, at Medco Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late John and Nannie Rector. She was a retired food service provider of Taylor County Regional and a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Jim and Dorothy Dicken of Campbellsville, David and Lisa Dicken of Bonnieville, KY, one daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Ricky Osborne of Campbellsville, two step-daughters Geraldine Wheat of Campbellsville, and Anna Mae Mitchell of Arizona, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends survive.
Funeral services were conducted at 11AM, Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Catherine Wheeler of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John O. Smith, Sr. and Lucy Mitchell Smith, was born April 7, 1941, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, December 31, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 68
She professed faith in Christ and attended Millers Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to Jimmy Wheeler April 28, 1962.
Besides her husband, Jimmy Wheeler of Campbellsville, she is survived by one son and one daughter: Greg Wheeler and wife, Stephanie of Lexington and Stacey Greenawalt and husband, Geoff of Frankfort; four grandchildren: Drew Greenawalt and Sarah Greenawalt of Frankfort and Bradley Wheeler and Bryan Wheeler of Lexington; two brothers and one sister: Harold Smith and wife, Winona of Campbellsville, David Smith and wife, Kay of Richmond and Marianne Markert and husband, Bill of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Owsley Smith, Jr. December 26, 1989.

Edward Lee Mardis, age 77, of Jeffries Road, Hodgenville, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Hardin Memorial Hospital after an illness.
He was the son of the late Lenuel and Mattie Farmer Mardis. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clinton Mardis and Bill Mardis, three sisters, Marie Short, Irene Short and Dorothy Mardis.
He is survived by his wife, Alene Mardis of Hodgenville, four children, Edward Lee Mardis, Stephaine Mardis, Michelle Mardis and Lisa Mardis all of Louisville, three stepsons, and spouse, James Goodman and Todd Conner both of Louisville, Rodney and Martha Jeffries of London, two step daughters and spouses, Beverly and Duke Price of Hodgenville and Mona and Tommy Silva of Hodgenville, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Nellie Mardis and Harold and Eunoa Mardis all of Campbellsville, one sister, Frances Lee of Campellsville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM, Sunday, January 3, 2010, at the Jesus Name Church with burial to follow in Jesus Name Church Cemetery
