Orville Richard McIntyre was called home to his Heavenly Father on March 10, 2010, at the home of one of his daughterrsquo;s in LaGrange, Kentucky. He left this world surrounded by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons- and daughters-in-law.
He was born on December 18, 1931 in Marseilles, Illinois, where he grew up. He joined the United States Army after high school and served in Germany. After his service, he returned to Marseilles and then ventured to Knifley, Kentucky, where he took a job as a logger and met the love of his life, Wilma Jean Bailey. The two were married on May 4, 1956. They moved to Marseilles, where he took a job with Lyon Metal, retiring after 30 years. After retiring, Orville and Wilma moved back to Wilmarsquo;s hometown in Knifley, where they stayed until Wilmarsquo;s death in 1993.
He was a kind and gentle Christian man and was dedicated to his children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and family members.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Earl and Margaret McIntyre; his wife, Wilma; his sister, Louise Rosness; and, his brother, Athel McIntyre.
He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his loss, his daughter, Benita J. Cheshire (Alan); of Hodgenville, his son, Richard A. McIntyre (Marianne);of Savanna, Illinois his daughter, Katherine A. Duncan (Carey) of LaGrange; his son, Charles W. McIntyre (Dawn Walters); of Elizabethtown, his daughter, Deanna D. Thompson (Bill Brady) of Hodgenville; his daughter, Billie J. McIntyre of Hodgenville; his son, Timothy E. Jennings (Tammy) of Rochelle Illinois; his grandsons: William ldquo;Butchrdquo; Brown (Katie), Timothy R. Jennings, Terry R. Jennings, Carey L. Duncan (Lizzy Smith), Joshua R. McIntyre (Erica Sebree), Rodney L. Thompson, Jacob R. McIntyre, Kyle L. McIntyre, Cody R. Thompson; his granddaughters: Kathleen J. Frye (Richard), Rebecca R. Brown-Fisher (William), Melissa N. McIntyre (Bruce Wafful), Elizabeth A. Duncan, Lea B. Hutcherson, Sadie A. Williams, Demi M. Williams, Hannah B. Brady; Great-Grandsons: Jessie R. Brown, Seth M. Brown, Michael O. Fisher, Brock W. Brown, Nolan L. Duncan; Great-Granddaughters: Jillian F. Fisher, Cora J. Frye, Molly M. Frye, Catharine R. Fisher, Bailey L. Brown, Lola N. Duncan; his brothers: John W. McIntyre of Lebanon, Missoura, Melvin D. McIntyre of Dixon Illinois; and his sister, Agatha Bennett of Seneca Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial at the Roley Cemetery.

Jessie Marie Cox, age 81, of Old Columbia Road, Campbellsville, died Thursday, March 4, 2010.
She was the daughter of the late Phillip A. and Nonie Lawson Bottom. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Linus Ewing Cox, one grandson, Robin Cox and one brother Dewey Bottom.
She is survived by children and their spouses, Stevie Ewing and Gail Cox, Roland Keith and Lisa Cox, Ruby and Mike Gribbins, Marilyn Marie and Phillip Burris all of Campbellsville, Colin Lewis and Penny Cox of Ohio, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren and eleven step great-grandchildren, one sister, Christine Cox of Campbellsville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
