Mary Linda Rogers of New Albany, Indiana, formerly of Campbellsville and Owensboro, daughter of the late Elan B. Sapp and Eunice Harrison Sapp was born October 12, 1951 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:30 A.M., Thursday, May 7, 2009 in New Albany, Indiana. Age: 57
She professed faith in Christ and was member of Graceland Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.
She graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1969, received a Bachelor of Science degree from Murray State University in 1975 and a Master of Science degree from Western Kentucky University in 1990. She was a certified Diabetes Educator and an active member of The American, Tristate, Daviess County, and Greater Louisville Associations of Diabetes Educators.
She united in marriage to Wayne Rogers June 5, 1971.
Besides her husband Wayne Rogers, of New Albany, Indiana, she is survived by two sons and one daughter, Martin Rogers of San Jose, California, Jeremy S. Rogers and wife, Laura of Louisville and Leah E. Beauchamp and husband Gregg of Elyria, Ohio; three grandchildren: Mercury Rogers, Felix Rogers, and Penelope Rogers of Louisville; one brother, T.K. Sapp and wife Jan of Campbellsville, Kentucky; two nieces and their husbands: Kristi and David Taylor of Columbia, Kentucky and Kari and Zach Gollotte of Nashville, Tennessee; one great-niece and two great-nephews: Emily Taylor and Nicholas Taylor of Columbia, Kentucky and Tyler Gollotte of Nashville, Tennessee; and many other relatives and friends.

Stanley Benningfield of Campbellsville, son of Sam Benningfield and Mildred Gaddis Benningfield, was born December 4, 1949, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 12:45 P.M., Tuesday, May 5, 2009, in Elizabethtown. Age: 59
He was employed at Fruit of the Loom for some twenty-five years and was an electrical inspector.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Kerrie Benningfield and one daughter, Tammy Benningfield of Campbellsville; his father and mother, Sam and Mildred Benningfield of Campbellsville; three grandsons: Cole Gribbins, Austin Benningfield and Caleb Benningfield of Campbellsville; one sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Donald Walls of Campbellsville; two nephews, Chase and Chance Walls of Campbellsville; three uncles: James Benningfield and wife, Bernestine, Willis Benningfield and Walter Benningfield of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.

Joe Thompson

Joe Thompson, age 77, of Gardner Street, Campbellsville, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at Golden Living Nursing Home in Greensburg .
He was the son of the late George and Edna Thompson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaretta on April 14, 1993, and one brother George Thompson, Sr.
He is survived by three sons, Joe Thompson, Jr of Louisville, Sammy Joe Thompson, New York, Veron Murphy of Louisville, two daughters, Luvenia Taylor of Louisville and Linda Darnell of Arkansas, four grandchildren, one special granddaughter, Margie Thompson of Campbellsville, five great grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters, Andrew Thompson, James Thompson of Detroit Michigan, Willie Mae Simmons of Memphis, Tennessee, Bobbie Jean Webb and Louanna Webb both of Blythesville, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
