Ernie Jackson Pyles

Ernie Jackson Pyles, age 65, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at his residence after an illness.
He was the son of the late Vitus (Cotton) and Velma Burton Pyles. He was preceded in death by one sister, June Wright. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom and a member of the Muldraugh Baptist Church.
He was united in marriage to Margaret Raikes Pyles on April 30, 1966, who survives, also surviving are two sons and daughter-in-law, Trent and Carey Pyles of Campbellsville, Brian Pyles of Louisville, four grandchildren, Melody, MaKenna and Megan Pyles and Derek Davis, one brother, Rodney Pyles of Louisville, two sisters, Kay Smith of Richmond and Elaine Parker of Alabama.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Friday, April 24, 2009 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Hogards Chapel Church Cemetery.

Montye Minor Hill

Montye Minor Hill of Campbellsville, formerly of Louisville, daughter of the late Sanford Minor and Augusta Wright Minor was born October 18, 1914 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:40 A.M., Sunday, April 19, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 94
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Christ Church, United Methodist in Louisville.
She united in marriage to Charles M. Hill December 26, 1936. They lived most of their married life in Omaha, Nebraska where he was a District Manager for the Campbell Soup Company. He preceded her in death May 30, 1998.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Barnett of Campbellsville and Muriel Austin of Louisville; a niece, Betty J.Gorin-Smith (Gordon) and her husbandrsquo;s nephew, Robert Hill (Nancy) of Glasgow and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Dr. C. Russell Hill August 20, 1980 who was a professor of Economics at University of South Carolina; one sister, Floye Smith and three half brothers: Fonza Caulk, George Minor and Leslie Minor.

George Lewis Haynes of Campbellsville, son of the late Lee Haynes and Gertie Whitehead Haynes was born February 1, 1923 in Adair County, Kentucky. He died at 11:20 A.M., Sunday April 19, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 86
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
He was a retired employee of the Campbellsville Water Company and a farmer.
He united in marriage to Gertrude Wright October 10, 1942.
Besides his wife, Gertrude Haynes of Campbellsville, he is survived by four sons: Raymond Lewis Haynes and wife Mildred, Edward Lee Haynes, Gordon Haynes, and Marvin Haynes and wife Suellen all of Campbellsville; one foster daughter Elizabeth Gilbert and husband, Randel of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Chad Haynes and wife Amanda of Auburn, Kentucky, Amber Haynes of Bowling Green, Keith Wilcoxson, Jamie Morris and husband Keith and Ronnie Wilcoxson and wife Jonie of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: Arik Haynes, Wesley Haynes, and Rebecca Haynes of Auburn, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by one foster son, James Wilcoxson and three brothers: Paul Haynes, William Haynes, and Ernest Haynes.
