Robert “Bobby” Cave Jr. of Campbellsville, KY, the son of Robert Wade Cave and Ina Jewell Knifley Cave, was born May 8, 1945 in Campbellsville, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was 77 years of age.
He had professed faith in Christ and was a faithful member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was retired from Parker-Kalon where he worked as a Tool-Maker. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, being around farm animals and talking with his many friends.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Ann Allen Cave, having united in marriage on May 27, 1967. One son and one daughter: Kevin Wade Cave and wife Lisa, and Cecilia Cave all of Campbellsville.
Two grandchildren: Justin Wade Cave of Campbellsville and Lydia Ann Cave Grant and husband Lonnie of Columbia, KY.
One brother: Kenneth Newcomb and wife Shirley of Campbellsville, KY
He was preceded in death by one sister: Imogene Benningfield.
There will be a funeral service for Robert “Bobby” Cave Jr. on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel, 1765 New Columbia Rd. Campbellsville, KY with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Bro. John Nguyen will officiate.
The family requests visitation on Sunday, April 2, 2023, 2023 from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.
Memorials are suggested to be donations to Gideon Bibles and may be made at the funeral home.

J.T. Holmes of Campbellsville, KY, the son of Glenn Holmes and Angie McAllister Holmes, was born October 21, 1996 in Campbellsville, KY and departed this life on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at his residence after his brave battle against cancer. He was 26 years of age.
He had previously been employed as a building engineer. He had a love for baseball, umpiring, and sports in general, collecting baseball cards, and spending time with his nieces and nephew.
Survivors include his parents: Glenn Holmes and Angie McAllister Holmes both of Campbellsville.
One brother and two sisters: Trista Wood and husband Cory of Campbellsville, Aaron Schwoebel and wife Sarah of Mt. Sterling, and Mariah Holmes of Campbellsville.
His Grandparents: Allen and Sandy Holmes and Steve and Anna McAllister all of Campbellsville, Janie Dial of Greensburg.
Three nieces and one nephew: Kyndall Wood, Rhilynn Wood, Kamryn Schwoebel, and Brantlee Wood.
He was preceded in death by one uncle Steven McAllister.
There will be a funeral service for J.T. Holmes on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Campbellsville High School Gymnasium with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery.
Bro. Dan Durham and Kirby Smith will officiate.
The family requests visitation on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Campbellsville High School Gymnasium.
Memorials are suggested to be donations to the funeral expense fund and may be made by clicking “Donations” or may be dropped off at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.
Serving as Pallbearers will be: Brennan Perkins, Justin Smith, Caleb Gupton, Taylor Burress, Dalton Hughes, Zach Durham, Grant Adams, Dominic Allen, Owen Weeks, and Trevon Haralson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the 2009 – 2015 Baseball teams and coaches of Campbellsville High School.

Floyd C. Thompson, 79, of Gallatin, Tennessee, formerly of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Marvin Thompson and Ruth Hash, was born June 14th, 1943, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, and departed this life on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Floyd served in the United States Military. He worked for the Campbellsville Police Department, and he later retired from Verizon as a Warehouse Maintenance Technician. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching westerns, and swinging on the porch.
He professed faith in Christ and attended The Nashville Church.
Floyd united in marriage to Paulette Sapp on September 29th, 1962, who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by:
One son: Terry Thompson and wife, Rhonda, of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
One daughter: Paula Rash and husband, Jesse, of Campbellsville.
Three grandchildren: Jessika Brock and husband, Mackenzie, of Campbellsville; Patrik Thompson and Kady Thompson, both of Hendersonville, TN.
One great-granddaughter: Abigail Smith of Campbellsville.
One brother: Donnie Thompson and wife, Stella, of Campbellsville.
Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by:
One brother: James Thompson.
Five sisters: Pauline Hedgespeth, Opal Miller, Judy Shuffett, Ann Strader, and Wanda Zane Thompson.
VISITATION: Tuesday, March 28th, 2023, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
