Vanda Wilson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Roy Curry and Evelyn Bishop Curry, was born September 29, 1961 in Green County, Kentucky.   She died at 3:46 A.M., Thursday, July 24, 2025 at her home in Campbellsville surrounded by her family.   Age:  63

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

Vanda was a retired nursing assistant.

She united in marriage to Terry Wilson May 28, 1990.

Vanda had a passion for animals and was always on the lookout to rescue any animal she saw in need.  She loved her grandbabies and they affectionately called her “Nana.”

Besides her husband, Terry Wilson of Campbellsville, Vanda is survived by

two sons and two daughters: Allen Whitehead, Amanda Caffee and husband, Robert and Latisha Dulworth of Campbellsville and Evan Graves and wife, Vanessa of Covington; six grandchildren:  Cody Ray, Ava Caffee, Nathan Ray, Allison Whitehead, Danika Graves and Wayne Graves; one brother, Willie John Curry of Tucson, Arizona; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Vanda was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister:  Danny Curry, Lonzo Curry, Herman Curry, Jerry Curry and Hazel Hollins

John Richard “Dickie” Kirtley, Jr.

Mr. John Richard “Dickie” Kirtley, Jr. of Campbellsville passed from this life on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born in Taylor County on November 7, 1950 to the late John Richard “J.R.” and Corine Gay (Clark) Kirtley, and was 74 years of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a deacon at Green River Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Kirtley was a retired employee of Parker Kalon and was a farmer. He especially enjoyed driving his antique John Deere tractors and studying genealogy, but his true passion was his family. He was an exceptional “Pa”, and loved taking care of “his girls”, ranging from his cherished wife Mary Lynn to his granddaughters, and was always proud of his grandson, Dylan. He was a devoted servant of Christ’s and served His church as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher, even leading the RA Youth Group at times and recently overseeing the church cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His daughter: Kathy Arnold and husband Larry of Campbellsville,

Four siblings: Vickie Brockman of Lebanon, and Charlotte Clark and husband Danny, Sherry Cambron, and Donna Kirtley, all of Campbellsville,

Three grandchildren: Katelyn Arnold and significant other Ben Siems of Pocatello, ID, Dylan Arnold of Washington, D.C., and Sharon Kirtley of Casey County,

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

He also loved his fur babies: Bella, Ace, and Molly; and his cat, Patches.

Mr. Kirtley was preceded in death by a son, Charles David “Cookie” Kirtley, and a brother, David Allen Kirtley.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. John Richard “Dickie” Kirtley on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Ray Judd and Bro. Jerry Smith will officiate. He will be laid to rest in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 26, from 12:00 noon until time for the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to Green River Memorial Baptist Church. Those can be made in person at the church or the funeral home.

Nathaniel Lloyd Bagby

Nathaniel Lloyd Bagby of Campbellsville, the son of Coy Michael Bagby and Mindy Lynn Justice Bagby, was born September 17, 2002, in Elizabethtown, KY, and departed this life on July 20, 2025, in Louisville at the Jewish Hospital after a sudden illness. He was 22 years of age.

He professed faith in Christ and attended Mt. Roberts Baptist Church. He was a woodsmith and loved all types of woodworking, flying drones, and was known for being a little mischievous. Most of all, he loved spending time with his son Myles. He loved being outdoors and enjoying the beauty of creation, often commenting, “How could anyone not believe that God created it all”.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his son Myles Bagby, his five siblings: Anthony Bagby (Leah) of Hartsville, IN, Joshua Gillmer (Allena), Laurel Gillmer (Colby Atwood), Netucky Bagby (Eva Deel), and Alysia Justice (Brenton Mann) all of Campbellsville. His grandparents, Robin Justice and Lloyd Waltermire both of Indiana. His nieces and nephews: Jaxon, Justice, Colby, Eloise, Rosalie, and Karter.

Also, surviving are his lifelong friends Sherry and Brian Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Orville Hamilton Justice, Carolyn Tungate, and Junior Gram Bagby.

The funeral for Nathaniel Lloyd Bagby will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Tallow Creek Cemetery.

Anthony Bagby and Bro. Earl Rodgers will officiate.

The family has requested visitation on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

The family respectfully asks that attendees refrain from wearing black. Nathaniel loved the colors white and red.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the funeral expense fund are suggested. These may be made at the funeral home.
