Mary Kathryn Lawson, 100

Mary Kathryn Lawson, the daughter of the late William Blane “Little Bill” and Mary Liza (Johnson) Barnett, was born August 6, 1924, in Campbellsville and departed this life on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab. She was 100 years of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Faith Alive Church, and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom.

Her greatest loves was for the Lord, singing southern gospel songs, cooking, quilting, and spending time with her children.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Lawson, in 2010, a daughter, Geraldine Brewer, in 2015, and a son, Ira Kenneth Lawson, as an infant.

Also preceding her in death was six brothers: Leonard, Huley, James, Owen Thomas, Richard, and Everett “Dude” Barnett; four sisters: Velma Christerson, Clara Brown, Mattie Lou Price, and Ester Roberts.

Survivors include two daughters and two sons: Dorothy Little and husband Earl of Campbellsville, Betty Nations and husband Buster of Milsap, TX, Jerry Lawson and Terry Lawson and wife Kathy all of Campbellsville; a brother: Ralph Barnett and wife Dorothy of Mt. Washington; a special nephew: Ray Barnett and wife Charlene of Mt. Washington; four grandchildren and a host of great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mary Kathryn Lawson will be Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Bro. David Boils will be officiating.

Family requests visitation on Thursday after 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Geraldine Ford

Geraldine Ford of Campbellsville, daughter of Bennie Perkins and Lola Sweeden Perkins, was born December 29, 1940 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 8:24 A.M., Sunday, April 27, 2025 in Campbellsville.   Age: 84

She professed faith in Christ and attended of Kellyville Community Church.

She united in marriage to Bobby Joe Ford December 5, 1980 and he preceded her in death February 26, 2003.

Geraldine was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by one son and three daughters: Branden Ford and wife, Britany and Pat Burton and husband, Robert of Columbia, Doris Moore and husband, Shane and Faye Mackie and husband, Don of Campbellsville; four step-children:  Dean Ford, Tony Ford, Debra Saltsman and Ann Ford Young; twelve grandchildren: Brandie Shepherd, Robby Burton, Tyler Moore, Brady Townsend, Seth Ford, Abby Ford, Nate Ford, Ella Ford, Karen Catron, Sherry Brown, Brandon Mackie and Zac Mackie; fifteen great-grandchildren and one on the way;  several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Geraldine was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters:  Glen Perkins, James Kenneth Perkins, Louis Perkins, Raymond Perkins, Doris Woodrum and Deloris Farmer and one step-son and one step-daughter:  Ricky Ford and Betty Degott.

Charlotte Tungate, 76, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Basil Wethington and Ella Mae Parrott Wethington was born on January 3rd, 1949 in Liberty. She departed this life on Saturday, April 26th, 2025 in Louisville.
Charlotte retired from Fruit of the Loom after 25 years of service. She later retired from Amazon after 10 years of service.

Charlotte is survived by:
Her son, Larry Glenn Tungate, and his significant other, Ashley Gribbins, of Campbellsville
One grandson, William Blake Tungate of Campbellsville
Three brothers and one sister: Harry Thomas Wethington and his wife, Nina, of Campbellsville; Joseph Randall Wethington and his significant other, Leona Perkins of Liberty; Michael Ambrose Wethington of Campbellsville; and Betty Jane Stewart and her husband, Jimmy, of Harlan County
Several nieces and nephews
A host of other family and friends

Charlotte was preceded in death by:
Her daughter, Lisa Mae Tungate, on August 1st, 2022
Five brothers and four sisters: Jerry Lee Wethington, William Develo “Dean” Wethington, James Larry Wethington, Gordon Ray Wethington, Charles Wayne Wethington, Frances Aline Cox, Mary Elaine Clements, Martha Kay Greer, and Margaret Patricia Propes

VISITATION: Thursday, May 1st, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to funeral expenses and may be made at the funeral home.
