DOROTHY DEAN LAWSON OBITUARY

Dorothy Dean Lawson, age 82, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, was born in Taylor County on July 7th, 1940, to the late William Thomas Underwood and Viola Allen Underwood and departed this life on Wednesday, October 27th, 2022, at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab in Campbellsville.

Mrs. Lawson professed her faith in Christ and was of Holiness faith.  She was a homemaker that loved to cook for her family and grandkids.  She was a true believer in reading the Bible.  Dorothy loved to read, loved her grandkids, loved to listen to bluegrass music/southern gospel, and loved flowers.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother.

Dorothy united in marriage to her husband, Bernard Lacy Lawson on June 9th, 1956, and preceded her in death in May 2005.

Survived by:

Five daughters:  Loretta Underwood and her significant other, Bobby Minor of Campbellsville; Christine Holley of Campbellsville; Judy Arnold and her husband, Mike of Campbellsville; Melissa Mardis and her husband, Ron, of Campbellsville; and Becky Stants and her husband, Brian, of Greensburg.

One son:  Dwayne Lawson and his wife, Orlinda, of Richmond, Kentucky.

Son-in-law:  David Burress of Campbellsville.

Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Along with many other family and friends.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Lawson is preceded in death by one daughter: Juanita Faye Burress.

VISITATION:  Saturday, October 29th, 2022, from 6pm-8pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

FUNERAL:  Sunday, October 30th, 2022, at 11am EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

Burial to follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers:  David Burress and Lashay Clark.

Pallbearers:  Ron Mardis, Bobby Minor, Brian Stants, Mike Arnold, Brandon Spurling, and Aaron Campbell.

Frances Myers Johnson, 93

Frances Myers Johnson, age 93 of Elk Horn, KY., the daughter of the late George Henry Myers and Nettie Grace (Wilson) Myers, was born November 13, 1928 in Taylor County, KY.

She died at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after a long illness.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Elk Horn Baptist Church.

She was a retired worker at Fruit of the Loom where she worked for 41 years as a join shoulder operator.

She united in marriage to Ray Alfred Johnson on August 3, 1946 and preceded her in death on January 3, 2018.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters: Roger Lee Johnson of Campbellsville, Dannie Dale Johnson, Joyce Cox and Kathy Perkins all of Elk Horn.

Seven grandchildren: Melissa Siekierke, Cheryl Finn, Michael Cox, Andrea Johnson, Chris Johnson, Andy Johnson and April Tucker; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother-in-law: Dewey Johnson of Louisville.

She was preceded in death by a grandson: Jeremy Perkins and three brothers and three sisters: Felena Louise Myers, Bernice Cook, James Myers, George Simon Myers, Nettie Cox and Arthur Sell Myers in infancy; a son-in-law: Samuel Robert Cox.

The funeral service for Frances Myers Johnson will be Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery.

Dr. Brian Rafferty will be officiating.

Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday

Rosie Mitchell Lehman, 95

Rosie Mitchell Lehman, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Clarence Claude and Effie (Baker) Mitchell was born May 7, 1927 in Louisville and departed this life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in Bardstown at the Signature Health and Rehab. She was 95 years of age.
She was homemaker, a former seamstress and former employee of Conco and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafts and ceramics, gardening, birdwatching, riding a motorcycle and good conversations with family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Robert Lehman in 2016; three brothers and three sisters: Wallace. William and Melvin Mitchell, Mildred Manley, Julie Housechild and Neville Gay and a grandson: Josh Carpenter.
Six children: Joyce Kessler and husband Bobby, Danny Lee Carrier and wife Janice, Clarence Carrier and wife Patricia, Bonnie Decker and husband Harold, Neaoma Sloan and Buddy Carpenter.
Also fourteen grandchildren: Tony Clark, Sretta Clark, Tearah McVay, Ashley Carrier, Tammie Carrier, Tracy Tracy, Alycia Singleton, Russell Ridge, Tonya Decker, Ereinna Woods, Jeffrey Woods, Christopher Sloan, Tabitha Sheffler and Justin Carpenter; 30 great-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Rosie Mitchell Lehman will be Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 12 Noon in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery.
