Nettie Pearl Cox, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late George and Nettie Grace (Wilson) Myers, was born March 30, 1939 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at her home. She was 83 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the White’s Ridge General Baptist Church.
She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and was the owner and operator of Roy’s Grocery on Speck Ridge for over 25 years.
She later became an employee of the Taylor County Elementary School, where she retired and later became a wonderful caregiver for numerous sick or elderly in the community.
She united in marriage on January 24, 1958 to Roy Eugene Cox, who preceded her in death in 1994.
Survivors include: a daughter: Karen Sanders and husband John; a son: Barry Cox and wife Janie all of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Shannon Pruyear, Savannah Sanders, Kellie Jo Lobb, Mariah Teague and Miranda Cox; two step-grandchildren: Brandon Dudgeon and Dakota Smith; three great-grandchildren: Jacob, Micheal and Jessie Pruyear; two step-great-grandchildren: Anna and Christine Pruyear.
Also surviving are two sisters: Frances Johnson and Bonnie Johnson, both of Elk Horn and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Nettie Pearl Cox will be Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Campbellsville Chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery.
Bro. Dickie Rogers & Bill Epperson will be officiating.
Family requests visitation after 11:00 A.M. Saturday until time for the service.

Gerald Ann Brown, 80, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late William Mings and Cora Farmer Mings, was born October 15th, 1941, in Taylor County and departed this life on Monday, July 18th, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
She professed her faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Gerald worked at the Fruit of the Loom for many years as a set sleeve. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a dear friend.
She united in marriage to Ezra Thomas Brown on August 16th,1956, and he preceded her death in 1981.
Survived by two daughters: Betty Vannice and her significant other, Harry McClandon, of Campbellsville; and Cindy Gail Harden, of Campbellsville.
Six grandchildren: Allan Thomas Skaggs, of Campbellsville; Rachael Mae Cox, of Campbellsville; Rebecca “Becky” JoAnn Scruggs, of Adair County; John Thomas Brown, of Campbellsville; and Melissa French and her husband, Kevin, of Campbellsville; and William Thomas Brown of Little Rock Arkansas.
Three great grandchildren: Damien Lynn Scruggs of Adair County; Autumn Scruggs, of Campbellsville; Austin Gilpin, of Adair County.
One great-great-granddaughter: Ellia Scruggs of Adair County.
Besides her parents and her husband, Gerald is preceded in death by:
Two sons: Thomas Kendell Brown and Gary Dean Brown.
Four brothers and five sisters.
VISITATION: Thursday, July 21st, 2022, from 11am-2pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
FUNERAL: Thursday, July 21st, 2022, at 2pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
Bro. John Batcher will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Harry McClandon, Damian Scruggs, Jeff Scruggs, Ronnie Morgan, Janet Mings, and Zack Watson.
Honorary pallbearer: Autumn Scruggs.
Burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Robert Dale Burton, Sr., of Campbellsville, the son of the late Luther and Agnes Marie (DeHart) Burton, was born January 5, 1960 in Adair County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at his home. He was 60 years of age.
He was a former employee of fruit of the Loom and Maintenance for the post office and most recently he was self-employed and was of the Christian faith.
Robert enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, grilling and helping others.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four Albert, Alford, Alvin and David Burton
He is survived by his wife: Mary (Farmer) Burton; three children: Melissa Burton, Robert Burton, Jr., and Jerret Lee Burton and a granddaughter: Cadence Burton, all of Campbellsville; his brothers and sisters: Larry Michael Burton (Angie) of North Vernon, IN, Gregory Joseph Burton (Peggy) of Seymour, IN, James Allen Burton of Bedford, KY, Brenda Ann Burton Kirksey (Steve) of Paris TN, Robert Dale Burton (Mary) and Ramona Sue Jackson both of Campbellsville.
A memorial service for Robert Dale Burton, Sr., will be Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. in the Campbellsville Chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home
