JAMES “JIMMY” SKAGGS

James “Jimmy” Hartley Skaggs, 73, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Hartley Skaggs and Bertie White Skaggs, was born June 29th, 1948, in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021, at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Jimmy united in marriage to Beverley Corbett Skaggs on April 17th, 1971, who survives.

He professed his faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was a wonderful, loving husband and father. Jimmy worked as a mechanic and was a former employee at Firestone and Advance Auto in Campbellsville.  In his spare time, he loved working with wood. One piece of advice he left for any man getting married was “always say yes ma’am and no ma’am and know when to say it.”

Besides his loving wife of 50 years, Beverley, Jimmy is survived by:

One daughter and son-in-law:  Kimberley Farmer and her husband, Billy, of Campbellsville.

One son and daughter-in-law:  Brandon Skaggs and his wife, Melanie, of Lexington.

Three grandchildren:  Justin Ford of Campbellsville; William James Skaggs of Lexington; and Sadie Skaggs of Lexington.

One great-granddaughter:  Aislin Falucskai Ford of Elizabethtown.

Three brothers:  George Skaggs and his wife, Wanda, of Greensburg; Melvin Skaggs and his wife, Gwen of Campbellsville; and Jerry Skaggs of Campbellsville.

One sister:  Sherry Daniel and her husband, James, of North Carolina.

Along with several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

VISITATION:  Sunday, December 26th, 2021, from 5pm-8pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

FUNERAL:  Monday, December 27th, 2021, at 12pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

Burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mount Washington, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for expressions of sympathy be taken in the form of donations to Markey Cancer Center, Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, or Gideon Bibles and can be made at the funeral home.

Margaret Butler Wade

Margaret Butler Wade of Elizabethtown, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Josh Butler and Ruby Abston Grider, was born March 14, 1945 in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 7:42 P.M., Tuesday December 21, 2021 in Elizabethtown. Age: 76
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Youngers Creek Baptist Church.
Margaret was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She united in marriage to Seth D. Wade June 7, 1964 and he preceded her in death November 8, 2015.
She was good spirited and kind hearted person. She enjoyed crafts, nature and bird watching.
Margaret is survived by one brother and one sister: William Butler and wife, Louise of Columbia and Cathy Catron and companion Lee Tucker of Breeding; one brother-in-law, Donnie Cravens of Cincinnati, Ohio; five nieces and nephews: Donald Cravens, Debbie Sipe, Daryl Cravens, Sonia Tweedy and Angie Yates; several great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends and caregivers: Cheryl Plessl, Virginia Kerr, Jane Hughes, Dorothy Fox and Mary Lou Mobley and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Cravens.

Regina Skaggs, 79

Regina Skaggs, the daughter of the late Roy L. and Dorcas Perkins, was born February 11, 1942 in Taylor County and departed this life on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Elk Horn at her home. She was 79 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Whites Ridge Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Metzmeier Nursing Home.
Regina enjoyed gardening, canning and caring for the sick.
She united in marriage to Wilson Skaggs, who preceded her in death.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Patricia Gaw.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons: Ron Skaggs and wife Monika of Jeffersonville, Indiana and William Anthony Skaggs of Elk Horn; a sister: Lorene Keltner of Columbia; three grandchildren: Holly Brockman, Lisa Stumler and husband Evan and Anna Skaggs; three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Regina Skaggs will be Tuesday, December 22, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Bro. Dickie Rogers will be officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, December 27, 2021 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
