Dylan McKay Gilbert, 22

Dylan McKay Gilbert, of Campbellsville, the son of Elzie “Eddie” Gilbert and Frankie Mechelle (Wheeler) Cox, was born July 29, 1999 in Marion County and departed this life on Sunday, January 30, 2022 in Louisville at the Norton Children’s Hospital as the result of heart complications. He was 22 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church and was a moulder for Cox’s Interior in Campbellsville.

Dylan was kindhearted, and was always “Happy go Lucky” and had a very creative mind.

He is survived by his father: Eddie Gilbert and companion Misty Gibson and Frankie Cox and husband Roger, all of Campbellsville; a brother: Cody Tucker and fiance’ Shanna Carney of Indiana; two sisters: Mary Amber Adams and husband Jack of Tennessee and Stefany Cox of Campbellsville; his step-grandfather: Rick Taylor; nieces and nephews: Hunter and Paxton Reynolds, Carly and Maddie Adams; close friend: Zachery Grey and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Christopher Blake Gilbert; his grandparents: Junior and Maryvene Wheeler and Harvey and Elizabeth Gilbert.

The funeral service for Dylan McKay Gilbert will be Friday, February 4, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Bro. Larry Fella Wilson will be officiating.

Visitation after 11:00 A.M. on Friday until time for the service

Memorials are suggested to the Norton Children’s Hospital and can be made at the funeral home.

Flora English, 90

Mrs. Flora Mae English of Campbellsville passed from this life on Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehab Center in Owensboro. Born in Henry County on October 20, 1931, she was 90 years, 3 months, and 8 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

A son: Danny Underwood of Campbellsville,

Five grandchildren,

Seven great-grandchildren,

And several other family members and friends.

In keeping with her wishes, her ashes will be interred in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville at a later date.

She was preceded in death by a son, Garry Wayne Underwood, and a brother, Robert Greenwell.

George Gribbins, 88

Mr. George Junior Gribbins of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on January 6, 1934 to the late Benjamin Thomas and Annie Lee Jane (Wise) Gribbins, he was 88 years of age. Mr. Gribbins had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a furniture builder by trade, and was a veteran of the United States Army.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

A son: Eric Gribbins,

A daughter: Lena Gail Gribbins,

A friend and former spouse: Laverne Mitchell Wise,

Eight grandchildren: Leticia Gail Penrod and husband Daniel, Kaitlin Jane Warner and husband John, Austin Dean Gribbins and wife Kaylan, Angelica Hughes, Benjamin Forrest Hughes, Nathan Eric Mann, and Shannon Nicole Mann,

Eighteen great-grandchildren,

And a host of other family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Gribbins on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Austin Dean Gribbins will officiate. Interment will follow in the Merrimac Cemetery with full military honors being accorded him by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 1, after 10:00 AM until time for the service.

Besides his parents, Mr. Gribbins was also preceded in death by three siblings: Charles Thomas Gribbins, James Doyle Gribbins, and Anna Marie Hagerty; and a granddaughter: Dana Mitchell Mann.
