Betty Blevins Young, daughter of the late Ray E. Blevins and Sibyl Graham Blevins, was born August 18, 1938 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 7:33 A.M., Friday, February 7, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
She professed faith in Jesus Christ and was a lifelong member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
Betty was a former owner of Annetta’s Flowers and also spent many years working as a secretary and bookkeeper for the Taylor County School System.
She united in marriage to Murrell C. Young August 24, 1957.
Besides her husband, Murrell C. Young of Campbellsville, she is survived by two sons: Dr. Todd Young and wife, Beth of Lancaster, Ohio and Troy Young and wife, Shelly of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Donald Young, Emily Young, Eli Young, Henry Young, Alyssa Eastridge and husband, John and Weston Young; one brother-in-law, Larry Newcomb of Campbellsville; one niece, Lisa Jo Wiseman and husband, Herb and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Sharon Newcomb and Donna Rogers.

Mrs. Mitsuko “Mickey” Mershon of Bellvue, Nebraska, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Masaji Okuno and Hanako Okuno, was born March 30, 1928 in Tokyo, Japan. She died at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in Bellevue. Age: 91
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to Joseph W. “Joe” Mershon January 21, 1957 and he preceded her in death September 13, 1996.
Mickey is survived by three sons and one daughter: Lloyd Mershon and wife, Donna and Elgin Mershon and wife, Tina of Campbellsville, Linda Marie Watkins and husband, Gail of Bellevue, Nebraska and Walter Mershon and wife, Debbie of Ft. Thomas; nine grandchildren: Diana Watkins of Omaha, Nebraska, Valerie Cisna and husband, Jim of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Edward Watkins and wife, Kate of Thornton, Colorado, Tyler Mershon and wife, Molly of Louisville, Kentucky, Andrew Mershon of Lexington, Kentucky, Amanda Hubble and husband, Daniel of Waynesburg, Kentucky, Kallie Scott and husband, Jeff and Joey Mershon of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Winter Mershon; two step-grandchildren: Bethany Walker of Los Angeles, California and Ryan Walker of Georgetown, Indiana; eleven great-grandchildren: Ashley Bishop and Jessica Bishop of Omaha, Nebraska, Morgan Cisna of Air Force Academy, Noah Cisna of Eglin Air Force Base, Madison Mershon of Louisville, Kentucky and Karolee Carter of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, Annabelle Scott and Isaac Scott of Campbellsville, Emily Hubble, Elijah Hubble, and Easton Hubble of Waynesburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Jerry Ann Young Abell, daughter of the late McCoy Young and Lizzie Ann Davis Young, was born October 6, 1940 in Clayton, Indiana. She died at 8:34 A.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in Bardstown. Age: 79
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
She united in marriage to Cyle Abell and he preceded her in death July 11, 1984.
She loved being outdoors, watching hummingbirds and cats playing. She enjoyed watching wrestling and was John Cena’s #1 fan.
Jerry is survived by four sons and two daughters: Wayne Abell, Delores Clark and husband, Joseph and Jay Abell of Bardstown, Geraldine Roberts of Bedford, Cyle Abell of Lawrenceburg and Mike Abell of Bloomington, Indiana; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Martie “Mertie” Marie Sowders of Bloomington, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Curtis Hoosier and Betty Mae Peach.
