hodom “Pete” Edward Crabtree, 63, of Knoxville, TN, left this heavenly earth on September 29th, 2020. Pete is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Crabtree of Campbellsville, KY. Pete is survived by his loving wife of almost 20 years, Nancy Carole Crabtree, and his children, Kelsey Crabtree Maynard (Todd), Thomas Morgan Crabtree, Taylor Michael Crabtree, Katherine McLees Orem (Anson), Steven Hunter McLees (Kelley) and William “Liam” Harper McLees. Pete is also survived by his father, Dwight Allen Crabtree and brother Dwight Allen Crabtree, Jr. of Campbellsville, KY. Pete also leaves behind several grandchildren and several other loving family members across the country.
Pete was born and raised in Campbellsville, KY on January 8th, 1957 and was an avid baseball player. As a first generation college graduate, Pete chose to pursue his degree from The University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Pharmacy Acquisitions was Pete’s chosen career for over 40 years. While he wasn’t working, Pete enjoyed nothing more than spending time traveling with his wife and children, playing golf, riding his motorcycle, boating and listening to Metallica.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy and Aussie Rescue & Placement Helpline.
Pete’s family will receive friends on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Berry Highland West Funeral Home, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932. There will be a Funeral Service on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:30am at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, 110 Sugarwood Drive, Knoxville, TN 37934 with a Graveside Service and Entombment to follow in the Cemetery of Berry Highland West at 1:00pm.

Betty Lou Hunt, 79

Mrs. Betty Lou Hunt of Campbellsville passed from this life on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at her home. Born on December 29, 1940 to the late Gus and Flossie Mea (Cox) Edelen, she was 79 years, 8 months, and 28 days of age. Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker, and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and working in her yard.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
   A daughter: Teresa Cox of Lebanon,
   Two grandchildren: Johnny Christopher Lee Cox of Campbellsville, and Ashley M. Garrett and husband Justin of Lebanon,
   Six great-grandchildren: Jamie Lynn Cox Morris, Christopher Lee Cox, Peyton Thomas Garrett, Elizabeth Hope Cox, Paxton Garrett, and Ezra Alexander Morris,
   And several other family members and friends.
   She was also preceded in death by seven siblings: Clair Lee Hogan, Opal Decker, Bernice Osbourne, Ruth Ann Cox, James Edelen, Mitchell Edelen, and Tony Edelen.
   There will be a graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Hunt on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the St. Frances de Sales Cemetery, Spurlington Rd, Campbellsville, KY.

Essie Lee Scott Allen

Essie Lee Scott Allen of Louisville, daughter of the late Emmett Scott and Mattie Warren Scott, was born January 20, 1933 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 9:30 A.M., Saturday, September 26, 2020 in Louisville.    Age:  87

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church.

Essie was a retired supervisor for Phillip Morris in Louisville.  She loved her family very much and her dog, Jenna.

She is survived by two sisters:  Juanita Pike and Betty Skaggs and husband, David of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Essie was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers:  Etha Skaggs, Dot Sutter, Mary Caulk, Emmett Brooks Scott Jr., James Scott and Mattie Long
