Mrs. Ruth White of Columbia, formerly of Campbellsville, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was born to the late Elmer W. and Lola (Pike) Clark on January 29, 1932, in Taylor County, and was 87 years, 11 months, and 5 days of age. She was a retiree of the United States Department of Agriculture, and a faithful member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. White carried herself with dignity and respect, and engrained a legacy of compassion and love in her children and grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Two children: Doug White and wife Debbie of Columbia, and Chuck White and wife Donna of Greensburg,
Six grandchildren: Caleb White and wife Casie, Brandon White and wife Amanda, Amy Holmes and husband Keith, Joy Fletcher and husband Steven, Jenna Wethington and husband Shannon, and Mollie Tucker and husband Logan,
Twelve great-grandchildren,
And a host of other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Clark.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Ruth White on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. Bro. Jamie Bennett will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 6, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST (4:00-7:00 CST).

Franklin Heistand Underwood, son of the late Bennie Underwood and Elsie A. Underwood was born December 5, 1944 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:00 A.M., Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 75
He professed faith in Christ.
He was a retired employee of Fruit of The Loom.
He united in marriage to Carolyn Underwood June 18, 1965.
Besides his wife, Carolyn Underwood of Campbellsville he is survived by one daughter, Beverly Dupps and husband, Tony of Louisville; one sister, Commie Caulk and husband, Bobby of Campbellsville and one brother, Garland Underwood of Elizabethtown; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers: Essie Vance, Mona Brewer, Lovie Brewer, Jack Underwood and Joe Underwood.

David L. Henderson Sr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Lloyd Ellis Henderson and Mary Louise VanCleave Henderson, was born August 9, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:35 A.M., Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 88
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder, song leader and Sunday School Teacher. David was a former employee of Carnation Milk Company and McMahan Cherry Furniture until their closing. He also was a farmer. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and the Edward O’Banion post No. 82. David served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He united in marriage to Shirley Bell December 27, 1954 and they enjoyed sixty five years together.
Besides his wife, Shirley Henderson, he is survived by his son, David Henderson Jr. of Campbellsville; grandson, Gabe Henderson of Shelbyville; one brother, Lloyd Henderson Jr. and wife, Charlotte of Elizabethtown and two sisters-in-law: Barbara Henderson and Carolyn Bell of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, William A. “Bill” Henderson May 30, 2009.
