Dianna Dicken, 62

Mrs. Dianna Joyce Dicken of Campbellsville passed from this life on Monday, December 2, 2024, in Louisville at the UofL Jewish Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Taylor County on July 17, 1962 to the late John and Mayme (Sprowles) Underwood, she was 62 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

   She leaves to cherish her memory:

Three children: April Berry and husband Danny, Jeffrey Adam Dicken, and Jennifer Hicks-Ray, all of Campbellsville,

Three siblings: Ray Underwood, Kathy Hicks, and Phillip Underwood and wife Cindy,

One stepbrother: Billie Bell,

Her companion: David Harris,

Six grandchildren: Weston Veltman, Benzley Berry, Lynnix Dicken, Avery Rose Dicken, and Addison Dicken,

Her beloved fur babies: Gizmo, Ellie, and Crybaby,

And a host of extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by three siblings: Delbert Bell, Danny Underwood, and Susan Watson.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Dicken at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 9, 2024, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville. Interment will follow in the Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

BOBBY L. ROBERTS

Bobby L. Roberts, 84, Campbellsville, Kentucky, died December 5, 2024.  He was born March 27, 1940 in Campbellsville, Kentucky, the son of the late Fred and Esther Wade Roberts. He was preceded in death by one sister, Vivian (Frank) Spocharski and four brothers, James Wade, Elwood, Derald and Fred, Jr.

Bobby is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Carolyn Colvin Roberts; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Melisssa Hatcher Roberts; one sister, Alice Nance and two sisters-in-law:  Gladys Wise Roberts of Campbellsville and JoAnne Hedgespeth Roberts of Fairborn, Ohio; special sister-in-law, Linda Rice of Campbellsville, plus several nieces and nephews.

He professed faith in Christ at an early age and was of the Baptist faith.

He graduated from Taylor County High School in 1958; drafted in the U. S. Army in 1963 and served there for approximately forty-five years as an enlisted man, commissioned officer, Department of Army Civilian and defense contractor. Retiring from Active Duty as a Lieutenant Colonel and Vietnam Veteran, he was awarded the legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal with “V” device with three Oak Leave Clusters, Air Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, Vietnamese Honor Medal First Class, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Man’s Badge, plus numerous other awards and citations during that service.  Continuing to work for the Army as a Civilian where he received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, Superior Civilian Service Award, and Commander’s Award for Civilian Service, and several other commendations.

Todd English of Campbellsville, son of the late Henry Archie English, Jr. and Glenda Lou Wilcoxson English, was born April 30, 1962 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 6:51 A.M., Wednesday, December 4, in Campbellsville.      Age:  62

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

Todd enjoyed building model trains, being outdoors, landscaping and visiting the beach. He also enjoyed delivering for Magnolia Alley and helping the business any way he could.

He united in marriage to Kathy Bryant Holly October 11, 1997.

Besides his wife, Kathy Bryant English of Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters:  Amanda Gaspar and husband, Hector and Amanda Morris and husband, Jamie of Campbellsville; four grandchildren:  Sofia Gaspar and Carter Richerson of Campbellsville and Reagan Knight and Taylor Knight of Lexington; one brother, Greg English and wife, Marna of Taylorsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Randall Todd English and one brother, Wynn English.
