Sarah Catherine Hubbard

Sarah Catherine Hubbard of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Albert Leslie Stewart and Lula Marion Saunders Stewart, was born May 12, 1934, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 4:49 P.M., Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Elizabethtown. Age: 84

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. She loved God and His son, Jesus. The Holy Spirit guided her life to serve others generously and selflessly. She was gracious and gifted in hospitality. God gifted her with intuitive wisdom in ministering to the needs of others. She counted it joy as her life met trials of many kinds, the testing of her faith produced steadfastness. Her steadfastness is now perfect, complete and lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4). She was a deeply compassionate encourager and energetic laborer. She was most joyful when serving others from the love and grace that Jesus had given her.

She was employed at Taylor County Bank for some 39 years where she had been a Vice-President, Internal Auditor and Compliance Officer.

Sarah joined the Campbellsville Lions Club in 1990 and was the first female member. She served her Campbellsville Lions Club as President, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Director and was a Life Patron. Sarah received the International President’s Certificate of Appreciation in 2002.

Sarah enjoyed community involvement for years as a member of the Campbellsville Main Street Development Program and the Campbellsville Taylor County Rescue Squad Board of Directors during the squad’s transition to a municipal entity.

Sarah united in marriage to Lewis Hubbard September 4, 1955 and he preceded her in death September 17, 1970. She later united in marriage to Herman F. Hubbard and he proceeded in her in death April 11, 1991.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Mike Melton of Lexington; two grandchildren: Sarah Catherine Rexroat and husband, Kelly of Brewton, Alabama and Jacob William Melton and wife, Ali of Nicholasville; three great-grandchildren: Catherine Grace Rexroat, Chloe Elizabeth Rexroat and Charlotte Rose Rexroat of Brewton, Alabama; one sister, Linda Roots and husband, Lawrence of Campbellsville; five nieces: Marcia Allen and husband, Jon, Lisa Cox and husband, Grayling and Kim Allen and husband, Thom of Campbellsville, Darla Owenby and husband, Jack of Murphy, North Carolina and Saundra Toll and husband, Bill of Cummings, Georgia; special friend, Ted Anderson; and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: W. L. Stewart, Judy Stewart, twin brothers, Raymond and Robert and a sister Betsy all in infancy.

Judy Cox

Judy Cox of Campbellsville, daughter of the late J. C. Riley and Elsie Hays Riley, was born January 18, 1946 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 7:41 P.M., Thursday, September 13, 2018 in Campbellsville. Age: 72
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church.
Judy was a former Director of Campbellsville-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce and she had previously served on the Campbellsville Independent School Board of Education.
Her hard work and civic mindedness lead to being named Woman of the Year by the Campbellsville BPW Club in 2007and she was given the Campbellsville 4th of July Celebration President’s award in 2009.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Todd Cox and wife, Beth of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Tammy Hash and husband, Garin of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Chelsea Cox and Emily Cox of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Austin Hash and Arren Hash of Campbellsville; one sister, Sandra O’Hare and husband, Jim of Lebanon; and many other relatives and friends.

Arleen Latimer of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Herb Ornellas and Gertrude Mendonca Ornellas, was born January 20, 1938, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She died at 2:15 P.M., Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in Lebanon. Age: 80
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith.
Arleen united in marriage to Robert G. Latimer February 17, 1973. He preceded in her in death November 1, 2009.
Arleen was a loving wife and wonderful mother and grandmother who was always available when her daughter needed her. She loved dancing and traveling and was sure to look her best when going out.
She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Bell of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Nicole Kristal, Josh Bell, Anthony Bell and Selena Swafford.
