Bobby Louis Veatch of Campbellsville, son of David “Buck” Veatch and Faye Judd Veatch, was born April 18, 1971, in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 4:42 P.M., Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 46
He professed his faith in Christ and was of the Presbyterian faith.
He was a self-employed construction worker.
Bobby is survived by one son, Bradley Louis Veatch of Detroit, Michigan; parents, David “Buck” and Faye Veatch of Campbellsville; three brothers: Brian Veatch and Tammy Gibbs Simpson of Campbellsville, Kevin Veatch of Lexington and Matthew Veatch and Trisha Burton of Richmond; special friends, Tom and Nina Wethington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Buford “Butch” Abell, 77

Buford “Butch” Abell, son of the late Arnold B. and Edith Mae Mills Abell, was born Friday, November 24, 1939 in Bradfordsville, and departed this life on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in Louisville at the Norton Suburban Hospital. He was 77 years, 11 months and 8 days of age.
He was a muffler technician for Midas and was of the Christian faith. “Butch”, to whom he was mostly called, was a welder, making sculptures from used mufflers and enjoyed making black wooden shadow figurines. He was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army.
He united in marriage to Irene Coffman, who preceded him in death in 2003.
Survivors include: Seven children: Leonard Abell and wife Wilma of Campbellsville, Victor Abell of Lebanon, Chuch Abell of Indiana, Allen Abell and Laura Abell Lee, both of Iowa, Ada Abell of Harrodsburg and Rebecca Dutill and husband Bob of Florida; three sisters: Donna Reynolds and husband Bill of Upton, Linda Beard and husband Moses and Arnold Thomas Abell and wife Dawn, all of Campbellsville and Edith Ann Rollings of Owingsville; special friends: Delana Stamp and Milford Lowe, both of Merrimac; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Buford “Butch” Abell will be Friday, November 3, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Whited Cemetery in Casey County with full Military Honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation after 10 AM Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the donation of Gideon Bibles or the Whited Cemetery fund, both can be made at the funeral home.

Darrell Phillips of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Joseph F. Phillips and Maxine Gribbins Phillips, was born August 15, 1949, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 4:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in Louisville. Age: 68
He professed his faith in Christ, was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church and attended Okolona Christian Church.
He was a retired paramedic for Jefferson County.
He united in marriage to Geraldine Noe March 29, 1984.
Besides his wife, Geraldine Phillips of Louisville, he is survived by two step-sons and one step-daughter, all of whom he loved as his own: Robert Teater of Springfield, Eddie Teater of Mt. Washington and Debbie Drury and husband, Craig of Lebanon; two step-grandchildren: Craig Drury, II and wife, Bobbie Jo and Brittany Drury of Lebanon; three step-great-grandchildren: Craig Drury, III and Karen Drury of Lebanon and Donovan Drury, who had lived with Darrell since birth and they shared a very special bond; one brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Pat Phillips of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
