Jones, Paul Milton, age 62

Paul Milton Jones, age 62 of Campbellsville, died Monday, February 27, 2017 in Taylor County.

Paul was born on October 2, 1954, the son of Henry Milton Jones, Jr. and Geraldine Goff Jones, who survive.    Paul spent his life farming in the Bengal community and during his spare time, loved hunting and fishing as well as watching basketball and NASCAR.      He had professed his faith in Christ and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Downey Jones.

Besides his parents, Paul is survived by his daughter, Carly Ann Davis of Nashville; a brother, Jason A. Jones; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Brian Harris; a niece, Sara Harris and a nephew, Benjamin Harris, all of Campbellsville, as well as a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Paul will be held on Friday, March 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

The family request visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.   Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations for Gideon Bibles and may be made at the funeral home as well.

Joyce Hubbard

Joyce Hubbard of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Thomas Roots and Dollie Cave Roots, was born May 12, 1933, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 5:30 P.M. Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Lexington. Age: 83
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
Traveling, shopping and spending time with friends were a few of her favorite things, but her most treasured times were spent with her grandchildren, which she adored.
Joyce united in marriage to James Walker Hubbard December 10, 1949 and he preceded her in death October 16, 1991.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters: J. W. Hubbard and Gary Hubbard of Lexington, Lois Kemp of Campbellsville and Sharon Tepperberg and husband, Alfred of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren: Joseph Walker Hubbard and Katie Hubbard of Lexington, Terron Kemp and wife, Carla and Laura Allison Grannis and husband, Dustin of Mason, Ohio, Leigh Ann Crick and husband, Eric of Indianapolis, Indiana and Benjamin Tepperberg of Cincinnati, Ohio; a great-granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Crick of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers: Lawrence Roots and wife, Linda and Bobby Roots and wife, Judy of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Joyce was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Darrell Kemp and a grandson, Matthew Thomas Hubbard.

Freda Stayton of the Christie Chapel community, daughter of the late Robert Welby Stayton and Lear Ruth Christie Stayton, was born August 22, 1940, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 12:15 A.M. Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Elizabethtown. Age: 76
She attended Christie Chapel United Methodist Church.
Freda loved coloring, teddy bears and was very happy all the time. She also loved everyone and seeing the “preacher man” as she called her pastor.
She is survived by three brothers and one sister: William R. Stayton and wife, Gladys of Campbellsville, Jewel Dean Flinchum of Elk Horn, Leadis R. Stayton and wife, Suzie of Johnsburg, Illinois and Lanious R. Stayton of Covington; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Welby Richard Stayton in infancy, Leora Levine and Beatrice Burton.
