MensikMrs. Barbara Helen Mensik, age 73 of Campbellsville, passed away on Thursday at her home.

Survivors include her husband Ross Mensik, Jr of Campbellsville.

8 children: Richard Mensik and wife Darcy of South Carolina, Raymond Mensik and wife Roberta and Ronald Mensik and wife Donna, all of Campbellsville, Renee Vennoy and husband Richard of Illinois, Tom Mensik and wife Lisa of California, Adria Kurberski and husband David of Wisconsin, Evelyn Mensik of Illinois and Joseph Mensik and wife Marsha of California.

A sister: Janet Piwowar (Pronounced: PA-VO-VA) of Illinois.

14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery.

Family requests visitation from 5-8 PM on Tuesday at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with a Prayer Service Tuesday evening at 7 PM at the funeral home.

Dr. James Dale Hatton, 91

Dr. HattonNavyDr. James Dale Hatton of Campbellsville was born on August 10, 1923 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and passed away on May 17, 2015 at his home. He was 91 years, 9 months, and 7 days of age. Dr. Hatton was the son of the late Elisha and Katy Mary (Buckley) Hatton. Dr. Hatton was married to Isabel Jean (Lance) Hatton, who preceded him in death. Later, he married Winnie Elizabeth (Easter) Hatton, who also predeceased him. He was a veterinarian and retired from the USDA as a meat inspector. Dr. Hatton answered the call to arms at a young age and served his country honorably in the United States Navy during WWII.

Dr. Hatton leaves to cherish his memory:
Three children: Darlene Minor and husband Charles of Virginia, Diane Guethlen and husband Robert of Maine, and Dale Hatton and wife Peggy of Campbellsville,
One brother and one sister: Ralph Hatton and wife Mary Jo of Colorado, and Ruby Spangler and husband Ed of California,
Two grandchildren,
And a host of other family and friends.
At Dr. Hatton’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral. Cremation was accorded him by the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A memorial service will be announced and conducted at a later date by his family.

Alva Mae Morrison, 96

Mrs. Alva Mae Morrison was born in Green County, Kentucky on February 17, 1919 into the marriage of the late Nearce Clay and Shirley (Madden) Milby. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Jane Todd Memorial Hospital in Greensburg, having attained the age of 96 years, 2 months, and 28 days. She was the wife of the late Russell Morrison, Sr., with whom she had shared many happy years. Mrs. Morrison was retired from the Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Church of God faith. Her sharp mind and quick wit will be long remembered by all who knew her.

Mrs. Morrison leaves to cherish her memory:
One sister: Dixie Marcum of the Hudgins community in Green County,
Two grandchildren: Darrell Morrison of Campbellsville, and Kimberly Baker of Indiana,
Five great grandchildren: Christopher Daniel Morrison, Clay Baker, Clint Baker, Dylan Morrison, and Jay Morrison,
Two great-great grandchildren,
And a host of other extended family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three children, Russell Morrison, Jr., Edward Wayne Morrison, and Joan Morrison, and two grandchildren, Danny Morrison, and Eddie Morrison.

There will be a graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Morrison on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the Greensburg City Cemetery, North Main St, Greensburg, KY 42743 at 3:00 PM EST / 2:00 CST. Bro. James Walker will be officiating.
There will be no public visitation.

David Bennett, 50

Mr. David Bennett, age 50, of Columbia, the son of the late Vernon and Evelyn Tabor Bennett, passed away on Thursday in Lexington at the UK Hospital.

Survivors include his brother: Dale Bennett of Columbia.

Special friend: Stevie Coomer of Columbia.

Cremation rites were entrusted to L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville.
