thMr. Lee Pogue of Campbellsville was born on October 11, 1922 into the marriage of William A. and Ellen Mae (Frogg) Pogue in Monticello, KY. He departed this life on October 6, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Greensburg. He was 92 years, 11 months, and 25 days of age.
On August 8, 1942, he married Rose Marie Light, who survives.
As a young man, Mr. Pogue answered the call to duty and joined the United States Army. He served his country honorably during the second World War. He was a natural storyteller; it was a favorite pastime of his to regal his grandchildren (or anyone else) with tales of his world travels.
Mr. Pogue was a field worker for Dean Foods for 30 years before his retirement. He was baptized in 2006 and joined the Shepherd’s Chapel Church of God in Arkansas.

Mr. Pogue leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife of 73 years: Rose Marie Pogue,
Three children: Jimmy Edwin Pogue and wife Joyce of Campbellsville, Lana Faye McDonald of Mt. Washington, and Valinda Jane Coomer and husband Wayne of Campbellsville,
Three sisters: Jeanette Mulliken of Wayland, Michigan, Shirley McGlasson of Springfield, Illinois, and Katheryn Berauer of Mesa, Arizona,
One brother: Bill Pogue and wife Anita of Indiana,
Eleven grandchildren,
Nineteen great-grandchildren,
Thirty great-great-grandchildren,
And a host of extended family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Pogue on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Todd Davis will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Caldwell Chapel Cemetery, Hwy 1104, Adair County, KY.

Tabitha Ann “Fuzz” Ritchie, 37

Tabitha RitchieTabitha Ann “Fuzz” Ritchie, age 37 of Campbellsville, passed away Sunday in Louisville at the Norton Hospital.

Survivors include her parents: Guy, Jr and Kathy Clements Ritchie of Campbellsville.

Three children: Katlin Pendleton of Columbia, Cassandra Pendleton and Nicholas Pendleton both of Campbellsville.

Two brothers: Wayne and Rachel Ritchie and Mark Aaron and Jamie Ritchie, all of Campbellsville.

Her grandparents: Wilma Ritchie of Whitesburg and Imogene and Rondal Lemmons of Campbellsville and one expectant grandchild and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Tabitha Ann “Fuzz” Ritchie, will be Friday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gum Lick Cemetery in Casey County.

Visitation from 5-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Brenda Sue “Susie” McCawley, 66

Mrs. Brenda Sue “Susie” McCawley was born in Fairdale, Kentucky on May 26, 1949, and departed this life on September 11, 2015 at her home in Cox’s Creek, KY after a long illness. She was 66 years, 3 months, and 16 days of age. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Amos and Mildred Estelle (McCarty) McCawley. Mrs. McCawley was a former restaurant entrepreneur. She was a very loving woman and devoted to her family. She was passionate with her feelings and about life. She enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially fishing. Mrs. McCawley was of the Pentecostal faith, and attended the Bardstown Apostolic Sanctuary.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
One son: Larry Albers of Cox’s Creek,
Two grandchildren: Jacob Albers and Janelle Bird,
Two great-grandchildren: Amber Bird and Austin Bird,
Three siblings: Thomas Junior McCawley of Fairdale, Patricia Florence and husband George of Mt. Washington, and Jerry Wayne McCawley and wife Judy of Randleman, NC,
And a host of other extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two husbands, Larry Albert Albers and Charles Wesley McCawley.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. McCawley on September 18, 2015 at 6:30 PM at the Bardstown Apostolic Sanctuary, 111 Plaza Dr, Bardstown, KY 40004. Pastor Tim Acree will be officiating.

Marvin Lee Coomer, 69

Coomer PicMarvin Lee Coomer, the son of the late Van Clee and Edra Faye Wingler Coomer, was born July 21, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois and departed this life on Sunday, September 6, 2015 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 69 years of age.
He was of the Baptist Faith and was physically disabled in this life and is made perfect in heaven. Although disabled and confined to a wheelchair, he still was able to fish, a sport he loved very much. One of the family’s most favorite quote is “There will be no wheelchairs in Heaven”.
Marvin is survived by a sister: Betty Warren and her husband Wendell of Campbellsville and their children and a host of other relatives and friends.
A private graveside service will be held on Thursday at the Green River Memorial Cemetery with burial to follow. Bro. Haywood Riner will be officiating.
There will be no formal visitation.

Puyear PICMrs. Jewell “Tootie” Puyear, the daughter of the late Benny Ray and Flora “Hootsie” Whitlock Thompson, was born October 2, 1945 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Campbellsville at her residence. She was 69 years of age.
She united in marriage to Elbert “Pee Wee” Puyear, who preceded her in death on June 16, 2015. To this union were born two children: Judith “Sissy” Mattingly of Lebanon and the late Calvin Puyear, who preceded her in death in 2010.
Three grandchildren: Amanda Mattingly and Missy and Michael Mitchell all of Campbellsville and Jessie Puyear of Willisburg; five great-grandchildren: Haley, Nate, Chloe and Peyton Mitchell and Eli Puyear; his special adopted children: Debbie Rucker and husband Timmy of Shelbyville and Michelle Vaught of Campbellsville; his special adopted grandchildren: Tyler and Bailey Rucker, Brittany, AJ, Michael, Keileigh and Nasha Vaught; special friends: Hallie Harris and Gladys Mattingly and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: McKenzie Puyear; three sisters: Barbara Thompson, Bernice Thompson and Bonnie Greer.
The funeral service for Mrs. Jewell “Tootie” Puyear, will be conducted Monday, September 7, 2015 in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.
