Louise Mae Campbell, 96

Louise Mae Campbell of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Roy W. Gabehart and Betty Jo Tucker Gabehart, was born on September 15, 1927, in Campbellsville, KY, and departed this life on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at her home. She was 96 years of age.

She professed faith in Christ and was a faithful member of East Campbellsville Church of God. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and was retired from selling Avon after 28 years. She loved bowling, was known for her delicious homemade pies, and loved serving the Lord and the church.

She united in marriage to Leonard Earl Campbell who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three grandchildren: Alison Maynard, Roger Maynard, and companion Tina Daniels, and Byron “B.K.” Maynard and wife Martha Gail, all of Campbellsville, along with one great-granddaughter: Madison Grace Maynard.

Also surviving is one brother: Paul Gabehart.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law: Ann Campbell Maynard and George Maynard. Seven brothers and sisters: Wanless Ray “Bug” Gabehart, Ruel Jack Gabehart, William Henry Gabehart, Mary Ellen Gabehart, Elmer Ray Gabehart, Samuel E. “Eugene” Gabehart, and Norma Jean Perkins.

The funeral service for Louise Mae Campbell will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Bro. Brad Epperson will officiate.

The family requests visitation on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorials are requested to be donations to the East Campbellsville Church of God and may be made at the funeral home.

Kathy Lucille Dye, 60

Kathy Lucille Dye of Campbellsville, daughter of Frances Garrett Fisher of Lebanon and the late Ernest Fisher, was born on July 24, 1963, in Marion County, KY, and departed this life on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was 60 years of age.

She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed sewing, fishing, camping, and spending time with her family. She also cherished her life partner, Joe Rice who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons and their spouses: Earnest Scott Dye (Kori) of Campbellsville, Billy Dye Yvetta) of Arbuckle, and Joseph Dye (Paige) of Campbellsville. Seventeen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one expected great-grandchild.

Also surviving are one brother and one sister: Ronnie Fisher (Mary) and Michelle Lanham (Wayne).

She was also preceded in death by one brother: Stephen Fisher.

The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held on the family farm at a later date.

Patrick Richard Russell II, 61

Patrick Richard Russell II, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Patrick Richard Russell Sr. and Etta LaGracia Fitch Russell was born on September 21, 1962, and departed this life on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. He was 61 years of age.

He was of the Catholic Faith and was a truck driver for Tradewinds Trucking. He enjoyed mowing his yard, and playing with his Yorkie dogs, and working on model cars in his free time.

He is survived by his wife: Julie Ann Montgomery Russell of Campbellsville, and three children: Krista Russell of Radcliff, Tiffany Powell, and husband Jeremy of Big Clifty, KY, and James Russell of Campbellsville. Six grandchildren: Connor Pawley, Hunter Pawley, Madalynn Powell, Emma Powell, Ayden Powell, and Harper Russell.

Two brothers and a sister: John Russell, Karen Russell, and Otis Russell. Also, surviving is his former spouse: Tonya Russell of Radcliff.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Cephus Russell.

The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Thomas Smith, 82

Mr. Thomas Edward “Tom” Smith of Campbellsville, formerly of Arizona, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 18, 2024 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, having attained the age of 82 years, 6 months, and 11 days. He was born in Wilcox, Arizona on September 7, 1941 to the late O.T. and Marjorie (Potts) Smith, and was an entrepreneur by trade. He was a devout member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church while holding close his Catholic roots. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the United States Army and a proud supporter of the American Legion, and a graduate of Eastern Arizona College and Northern Arizona University. He had a dry sense of humor and loved to tease people, but was ever the gentleman. A man of many talents and interests, he especially enjoyed a round of golf and usually had a camera close to capture the moment.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His wife of 41 years: Lula Raye (Carney) Smith,

Three children: Chris Carney and companion Ann Franklin of Campbellsville, Leann Moyers and husband T.J. of Arizona, and Andy Kaiser and wife Mary of California,

A sister: Ricki Huggins of Arizona,

Two sisters-in-law: Kay Krug and Cindy Williams,

Five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends in Arizona and Kentucky, including lifelong friends Gus (or, “Elvis”), Linda, and Rosie, and others too numerous to mention.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marta Lou Schultz and Rilla Cunningham.

There will be a memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Tom Smith on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM EDT in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. John Butler will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 23, after 12:00 PM EDT.

Martha Lamp, 60

Martha Lamp of Liberty, KY, the daughter of the late Fred King and Martha Bridger King was born September 5, 1963 in Rockford, Maryland and departed this life on March 1, 2024 in Campbellsville. She was 60 years of age.

She was of the Methodist Faith and had been employed as a sales associate and administrative assistant. She enjoyed painting, reading, going to the beach and collecting shells, crossword puzzles, spending time with Shiloh and animals, spending time with her granddaughter, watching shows or reading about crime, and cooking.

She is survived by one son and one daughter: Joshua Michael Lamp of San Diego, CA and Samantha Taylor Lamp of Chesapeake, VA. One granddaughter: Noemi Sarah Lamp.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

The family has chosen cremation and all services will be held privately.
