Deborah McMahan, 63

Mrs. Deborah Lee (Rohe) McMahan of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. Born on January 5, 1958 to the late James and Dorothy (Sensbach) Rohe, she was 63 years, 3 months, and 27 days of age. She had made a profession of faith and was of the Christian faith.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

Her husband of 44 years: Mr. Anthony McMahan of Campbellsville,

Three children: James McMahan and wife Leah of New Albany, Indiana, David McMahan of Campbellsville, and Amber Doty and husband Rusty of Knifley,

Two brothers: Joe Rohe and Bruce Rohe,

Nine grandchildren,

And a host of other family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Rohe, and a sister, Shelia Helm.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. McMahan on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 1:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery, 20 Hwy 208, Lebanon, KY.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

Steven Burris, 62

Stephen Burris, better known as “Pig” or “Earthquake”, was born May 8, 1958 in Adair County, KY to the late Coakley and Marcella (Janes) Burris and departed this life on January 28, 2021 in Lexington. He was 62 years of age.

He was a truck driver and a member of the Milltown United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Sue Carol (Messinger) Burris and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Julia Burris, Shelia Burris and Bruce Burris.

A memorial service for Stephen Burris will be Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. EST (10AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Columbia Cemetery.

Rev. Russell Janes will be officiating.

Visitation after 10:00 A.M. EST (9AM CST) Saturday at the funeral home.

Freddy Carter, 71

Freddy Lee Carter, of Hodgenville, the son of the late Sidney L. Carter and Lura Atwell Carter Peace, was born October 26, 1949 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 6:03 P.M. in Louisville at the Kindred Hospital with James and Darlene Peace by his side. He was 71 years of age.

Freddy was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army and later became a cook at Fort Knox for many years.

He had a big heart; he loved helping others. He was regularly seen with a cup of coffee and a cigarette. He will be missed by many.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father: James R. Peace, three brothers: Jerry W. Peace, Hugh C. Carter and Tommy A. Carter and two sisters: Betty Alice Carter Page and Janet Carter Martin Edwards.

Freddy is survived by three brothers: James Peace, Jr and wife Darlene of Elizabethtown, James H. Carter and wife Nancy and Robert U. Peace all of Hodgenville; a sister: Shirley Carter Warren and husband Mitchell of Louisville and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Freddy Lee Carter will be conducted Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery at Buffalo. Bro. Roger Bland will be officiating.

Family requests visitation 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Ann Amelia Underwood, 73

Ann Amelia Underwood, the daughter of Agnes (Mann) Rhodes of Campbellsville and the late L.B. Rhodes was born June 10, 1947 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Louisville at the Norton Women’s and Children Hospital. She was 73 years of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church and was a former instructor at the State Beauty College in Campbellsville.

Ann enjoyed cooking, camping, playing solitaire, teaching grandkids how to sew and making sure all the men in the family had a fine looking haircut.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband Robert Underwood of Campbellsville; a daughter: Ann James and husband Kenny; a son: Jason Lee Underwood and wife Tiffany, all of Campbellsville; a brother: Dean Rhodes and wife Sherri of Campbellsville; a sister: Judy Keltner and husband Winston of Columbia; seven grandchildren: Kaden Lee Underwood, Amber James, Landon Benningfield, Logan Parker Underwood, Kendra James, Lauren James and Blake James and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Evelyn Rhodes, Doris Witham and Larry Rhodes.

The funeral service for Ann Amelia Underwood will be conducted Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with entombment in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Tony Eli Bright, 65

Tony Eli Bright, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Delmar and Myrtle (Cox) Bright, was born March 5, 1956 in Raywick, KY and departed this life on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Campbellsville at the home of his daughter. He was 65 years of age.

He was a floor tech/maintenance assistant for the Village of Lebanon Nursing Home and was of the Baptist Faith.

Tony enjoyed fishing, being a mechanic, country music and westerns, but most of all his family.

He is survived by a son: William Jason Bright and wife Robin of Lebanon; two daughters: Chrissy Canada and husband Shawn and Tammy Richards and husband Les both of Campbellsville; a sister: Carolyn Shofner of Campbellsville; ten grandchildren: Kendra Southerland, Jeremy Southerland, Tyler Bright, Brighton Warren, Anniston Canada, Hope Garrett, Cody Garrett, Kelsey Garrett, Kooper Richards and Courtney Richards; six great-grandchildren: Kenleigh, Kasen, Dawson, Bryson, Audrey and Wyatt and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Roger, Wilbur, Lucille and Roselyn and a great-grandchild: Addison.

The funeral service for Tony Eli Bright will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green River Memorial Cemetery.
