Donnie B. Farmer, formerly of Campbellsville and Louisville, son of the late Ada Farmer and Florence McDaniel Farmer, was born September 9, 1933, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died on Monday, November 1, 2021, in Franklin, Tennessee. Age: 88
He professed faith in Christ and was a former member of Jones Chapel Church, and had also attended Hikes Point Church of Nazarene, Hazelwood United Methodist Church and Southeast Christian Church. Donnie’s life centered around his faith in the Lord and the blessing of his family.
He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Donnie was the former owner and operator of Watterson City Barber Shop in Louisville.
He united in marriage to Wanda Gabehart May 5, 1957. His devotion and attentiveness to his beloved Wanda is evidenced by their 64-year marriage.
Besides his wife, Wanda Farmer of Franklin, Tennessee, he is survived by a son, Steve Farmer and wife, Kelly Farmer of Evans, Georgia and a daughter, Becky Phillips and husband, Richard Phillips of Franklin, Tennessee; four grandchildren: Rachel Catherine Smith and husband, Sullivan Smith, Hannah Noelle-Hysen and husband, Logan Hysen, Matthew Stephen Farmer and wife, Laura Farmer and Mallory Click and husband, Josh Click; six great-grandchildren: Riley Farmer, Scottie Farmer, Caleb Farmer, Jackson Click, Wyatt Click and Benjamin Click; one nephew, Shane Farmer and wife, Theresa.
Donnie was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Burl and Betty Farmer.
We celebrate the faith and life of Donnie Farmer and his heavenly homecoming.

Nolen “Hot Shot” Gilpin, Jr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Nolen Gilpin, Sr. and Viva Alice White Gilpin, was born February 5, 1937 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 9:07 P.M., Tuesday, November 2, 2021 in Taylor County. Age: 84
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church and a lifelong farmer
He united in marriage to Shirley Ann Eastridge June 1, 1957.
Besides his wife, Shirley Gilpin of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter, Matilda Carol Wright and husband, Greg of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Richard Clint Wright and wife, Ashleigh of Florida and Frances Elise Sheikh and husband, Hamid of Lexington and Colorado: two great-grandchildren: Charlie Wright and Everly Wright; a special caregiver, Loann Calmes; along with several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Edwin Allen Gilpin, Forest Chandler Gilpin, Charles Gilpin and Margaret Gilpin Lane.

Allene Whitehead Underwood Smith of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Cornelius “Neal” Whitehead and Elizabeth Ermine “Lizzie” Wright Whitehead was born June 12, 1927 in Raywick, Kentucky. She died Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the home of her grandson, Brian Underwood in Louisville. Age: 94
Allene professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
She retired from Fruit of the Loom after 40 years and then volunteered for 14 years with the Taylor Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
She was an independent lady with a strong faith that helped her survive the loss of two husbands and three sons. She dearly loved and was loved dearly by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She united in marriage to Brown Underwood January 20, 1941. He preceded her in death June 28, 1996. She later married Roger Smith November 21, 1998. He preceded her in death March 10, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by three sons: Bill Underwood, Lonnie Underwood and Tim Underwood.
Allene is survived by seven grandchildren: Brian Underwood and wife, Brandie, Brittany Underwood and husband, Collin Elzy of Louisville and Rob Richardson of Louisville, Matthew Underwood and wife, Jeanette of Lagrange, Robert Underwood and Ashley Dooley and husband, Damon of Campbellsville and Natalie DeStefano of Florida; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Ann Moore and husband Junior of Campbellsville.
She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters: Wesley Whitehead, Elsie Weddle, Leola Moss, Clemmie Atwell and Doris Hoosier.

Martin “Gene” Bickett of Lebanon, son of the late Martin Eugene “Nick” Bickett and Dorothy Ann Cecil Bickett, was born September 21, 1950 in Marion County, Kentucky. He died at 3:50 P.M., Friday, October 29, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 71
He professed his faith in Christ and was of catholic faith.
Gene had worked at Fruit of the Loom and later retired from Ingersoll Rand.
He united in marriage to Beverly Farmer January 25, 1975
Besides his wife, Beverly Bickett; Gene is survived by one daughter, Julie Wright and husband, Raymond of Clementsville; one son, Aaron Bickett of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Jacob Wright and Isaiah Wright; five sisters and four brothers: Judy Bickett Masterson and husband, John of New Hope, Brenda Bickett Peake and husband, Larry, Linda Bickett Thompson and husband, Mike, Bill Bickett and wife, Karen, Nell Bickett and wife, Becky Aimesbury, Michael Bickett and wife, Rosie and David Bickett all of Bardstown, Irene Bickett Downs and husband, Curtis, Kevin Bickett and wife, Dora all of Loretta; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Samuel A. Garrison of Campbellsville, son of the late Roy Allen Garrison and Ruth Thomas Garrison, was born May 5, 1932, in Adair County, Kentucky. He died at 2:56 P.M., Thursday, October 28, 2021 in Lexington. Age 89
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church and was recently attending The Rock Community Worship Center.
Samuel was a former employee of Parker Kalon and the Campbellsville Water Company where he was a waste water treatment operator.
He united in marriage to Wynema Breeding December 26, 1950.
Besides his wife, Wynema Garrison of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and one son: Sandra Garrison of Bowling Green and Sammy Garrison and wife, Marchetta of Campbellsville; two grandchildren; Sabrina Garrison of Campbellsville and Spencer Dalton of Georgetown; one sister, Patsy Jenkins of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Samuel was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Lewis Garrison and Eva Baker.
